As much as I’m a big fan of Imran Nazir’s batting talent, that kid does not deserve to play international cricket.

Talent isn’t the only requirement to be playing international matches but also the right brain and Nazir is extrememly stupid.

He never has a plan on what shot to play till very last minute and usually fails.

You just can’t score runs of every singe delivery.

Whomever dropped Saeed Anwar needs an ass wopping rightnow.

One match he had a duck and gets dropped have anyone seen the figures for Imran Nazir the last 3 innings.
9, 3, 0. Is that called professionalism.

He needs to learn from the way Shoaib Malik batted today, no matter how big or small the total is you need to settle in atleast in the first 5 overs.

Eventhough with a bad runout I still think he should be included in the Australian series in place for Nazir.

This was the most pathtic batting display I have ever seen from a batting side even worst than Bangladesh.

Inzi was unfortunate, we shouldn’t be hard on him.

Youhana once again played a bad shot to get himself, usually he gets himself out rather than the bowler gets him out.

I think Younis Khan and Razzaq can slip by after consistent performance in the previous games.

But good fightback by Latif and Azhar Mahmood.

If I was Mudassar Nazar I would have told them to take singles to finish of the whole game instead of taking risks like how Inzi and Wasim took.

Shahid Afridi played brilliantly.

Has anyone noticed one thing about Afridi?

Everytime he gets a decent score of 50+ he plays sensibly.
He is probably the most talented batsman in the world today and if he avoid his temptaions he can regain that opening spot.

There was no way in the world I would have though of Pakistan loosing when they were 90 for 2.

I have to agree with some of you guys about Waqar making a horrible descion of not keeping wasim bowling in his first spell.

He did that in his 2 straight games.

Yesterday against SL Wasim was looking deadly and Waqar pulls him off and Jayasuriya & Jayawardne build a partnership.

Samething happening today when Wasim could have single handedly bowled the whole side of under 100 runs if he were to bowl 3 more overs.

Overall I think the bowling was first class and the best in the tournament but batting was third class

I seriously think Nazir should not be played till he starts making good decision during the pitch.

Shoaib Malik is an ideal partner of Anwar.

Shoaib wouldn't have made a single difference.
Our bowling was first class and better than the other 2 teams but couple bead decsions by Waqar cost some heavy runs.
Like I said before if Wasim kept bowling atleast 3 more overs in his first spell Pakistan would have won this match and with a bonus pt.

Pace in this wicket isn't a big deal so Shoaib wouldn't have made a big difference but in Kenya it sould be different.

We lost due to our bad batting, so Shoaib wouldnt have made a diference. If we had got SA out for 150 with Shoaib playing our batting would have folded up for 139. :(

More than pathetic decision by WAQAR its the batting which let the team down.its just a pathetic batting lineup ..when they chase ,looks like Bangladeshis are batting.

shiiit and I thought It was Trescothik,yuvraj,sehwag,kaif,hayden,sangrakka. :(

But 7-8 years of cricket and we still talking about his talent.I hope he starts making justice to his talent before he retires.

South Africa trash Pakistan by 8 runs

How in the world Pakistan got trashed.
SA batting almost did badly as Pakistan.

It was a very close match things could have gone either way.

They certainly did not thrash us but they did 'trash' us to reach the final.

Darn bad performance by Pakistani Batsmen and finally the poor "Bowlers" "Allrounders" had to clean their ****. Bus kismat me nahi tha and I always asked myself why a great bowler like Waqar never learned some of the tip tip batting. In my opinion he is the worst batsman in Pak squad and neither a good fielder.

@ we lost

Anyway cheer up guys its a game. We really played bad today so we lost i am sure the same team can play better other day and can beat any other team.

One thing i was unable to understand was the decision of going into this important match without Saeed Anwar . Waqar and whoever involved in final team selection has paid the price. Pakistan’s bowling was never a problem in the tournment so there was no point in strengthing the bowling on cost of Saeed. It was batting which was fregile. Instead of Shoaib Malik they should have played Saeed.

Kahir I know Pakistan is still capable of beating Australia and lift the cup in Kenya. Best of luck :k:

Because he is not a batsman, he is out there to take wickets not to score runs.
You are right about fielding though.

tipz brother you seem to go to sleep everytime there is a cricket match going on.
How about not disturbing your sleep and not watch the match at all.

Yeah even though Pakistan lost the match kept me on the edge of my seat specially the last 10 overs were very exciting to watch.

This is how the world cup is going to be.

Low scoring matches but very close.

Pakistan mainly lost their matches today due to their openers.
i thought the middle order did preety well if you take out the dissmisals of Younis Khan and Razzaq.

The middle order was preety consistent throughout the tournament but Imran Nazir really put Pakistanis under pressure by throwing his wickets away in 3 different innings.

i still say that this tournament was not very competetive due to the fact that in all the matches the team batting first has won. that’s because the pitches are soooo under-prepared that they deterioate in the second innings. that’s not fair for the team losing the toss.
i’d say pakistan played well, put up their best performance :k: :k:. but they were unlucky throughout the tournament. . and today they were extremely unlucky. imran nazir’s, rashid latif’s dismissal off inside edges and then inzamam’s hit wicket; really was a bad day for pakistan. and luck was not with them.
let’s now wait till kenya. :k:

Although it is very disappointing to see Pakistan lose, the one comfort that I certainly take from their performances in this tournament is the fact that they have noot peaked too early prior to the world cup.

Let's hope these defeats knock some sense in the team.

Pakistan lost the match because of Inzi. There was no need for six and fours. Pakistan needed to score less than 4 runs per over with 6 wickets in hand. In my opinion Inzamam should be dropped from the One Day Team because

He almost takes one pakistani wicket per match without bowling (by running them out - most of the times the victim is YOYO - best batsman of the team)
He turns ones into zeros and twos into ones while running.
He is not a good fielder.

I am a big fan of Waqar but could never understand his strategy of sending Affers as 9th wicket in one game and then at no. 2 in the other. Pak could have won last two games had it not been for poor captaincy by him and pathetic batting display of Inzamam.

Pak team management should bring in Moin Khan as ODI WK. He is much better than Latif when it comes to batting and as good as him in WKeeping. Also Please do not drop players like Saeed Anwar and Saqlain Mushtaq - on the basis one bad day.
