You must have been acting like a Coconut (black on outside, white at heart) then because I've met lots of such people in east london, alum rock, bradford, oldham etc. and they are safe to fellow Asians, all they'll say is "'s'apnin' bro" or "wagwan" or something else from their strange vocabulory, lol..

Like I said earlier, it gets intimidating if you're in a White scally area but if you see a gang of Asians there (no matter if they're Pathan, Punjabi or Bengali) you feel safe like you've seen a police officer or something because you know if you get into a fight it wont be you one against 20 because these guys will jump in for you even though you don't know them.

not really.i felt more safe around white folks.i was in east london living with a friend for a few days but then moved out of there to a white neighborhood where people were polite and decent.the people i ran into east london were worse than any pakistanis i;ve run into in pakistan.they were total retards. if it were nt for the jet lag i probably would ve ended up throwing a few punches.a desi guy at the store refused to give my mobile back after i left it there for re charging.couple of bengalis at a mobile phone shop acted like a holes.the desi owners of internet cafes were also totally retarded.i ve met desis in america too in places like queens,manhattan and others.never met desis so rude.
