I am not aware as to what thread that was, but I’m guessing it had something to do with the Katy Perry thread. In my response in that thread, I had even told you that I intended no disrespect toward you. I personally believe that I have maintained a respectful tone in my interactions with you despite sensing some hostility from you several days ago in an off-subject and catty remark you had instigated about the length of my post, which I respectfully ignored and did not respond to. I also did not accuse you of picking a fight even when you sarcastically deduced an incorrect assumption about my post in Candy Apple’s recent thread. So I don’t think I am the one who has got a chip on the shoulder, Phil.

when i mentioned it’s more common in pakistanis, it did not mean that its only amongst us. i simply meant I have seen this behavior more commonly in desis than I have seen in white people, especially when it comes to lifestyles. again, i could be wrong, this is simply what i have observed. its an observation, not a fact. I have only been attacked by pakistanis for the most part for my lifestyle. in my opinion, inter-faith marriages are more tolerable in white communites than ours. ofcourse this is just MY opinion based on what I went through. yours can be very different.

Phil, scroll up and read your posts. You were the first to bring up some thread you “annihilated” me in that I honestly can’t even remember and most likely didn’t read. So for someone who has a poor memory, that mystery thread was clearly on your mind. I only ventured a guess as to what your beef with me might be about. Also, you were the one who initiated a “psycho-overanalysis” by attributing the intention behind my posts to a feeling of resentment toward some “annihilation” that you’re clearly very proud of or you wouldn’t have felt the need to flaunt it…and which I honestly can’t recall. Seriously, you have more of a clue about your responses toward me than I do. You’ve also incorrectly assumed that I actually think that you seek my approval for your posts and threads. Yes that isnt nice to impose on others but there is also this sort of behavior coming from the liberal end, just when you open your mouth to say something, you are not only being told to remain quiet but are also awarded the labels of a 'moral code imposer, extremist etc. Attitudes have turned so polarized, nobodys ready to stand the other. And honestly people like bella who drag in pakistani culture in a belittling manner virtually in each and every thread, due to their attitude, add a lot of negativity to the discussions.
and avoid the company of such people who you think are like that and u find it discomfitting

“Imma liberal?” What does that even mean? If by “liberal” you mean that you are above judging, then please take another closer look at your posts, Phil. It’s a case of the pot calling the kettle black. In your very first post, you used the word annoying. Newsflash, that adjective is a judgment. You later on said that Pakistanis are not much into self-reflection. Newsflash…that’s not only a judgment but also a negative stereotype. Even if you believe that you have a more lax perception about certain issues compared to other Desis or members on Gupshup, that lax perception is STILL a judgment. You are clearly not immune from the same act which you find to to be disturbing in others. Regardless of how liberal or enlightened you believe yourself to be, you cannot escape moral codes. Society cannot be established nor can it function without a moral code.
