ok so I have a linoleum kitchen floor. I use a vacuum then a wet swiffer to clean it but it comes out looking very dull. How do I get the shine back in?
Thx!

Re: Mopping - a question
tell verzi to do poccha :)
Re: Mopping - a question
oh poccha is when a maid in pakistan takes a rag and wipes and shines the floor.
btw swiffer does that it leaves residue, easy to use true but that residue is what leaves it dull, look for specialty cleaners for linoleum floors and use that. I have not experimented with cleaning out and refilling a wetjet bottle with a different cleaner..if it works i will let u know :)
Re: Mopping - a question
:shoaby: poocha , the best ,
but even then it becomes dull after almost about 4-6 months
Re: Mopping - a question
mamaof3 where are u from? cos in the UK u can get something similar to the swiper thing but it has some kind of shining stuff on the bottom, so when u use it, it automatically gives the floor a shine
Re: Mopping - a question
quit using the swiffer ...it leaves a residue on your floor which may be the reason why your floors are starting to look dull.
Re: Mopping - a question
Get this guy to do it for you
Re: Mopping - a question
^ So should she sell her car for it or get some kinda loan? :P
Re: Mopping - a question
so linoleum…if its extra clean meaning no swiffer..wont that make it …tooo slippery:hmmm:
Re: Mopping - a question
Sire ji its called a Taat laagana..not poocha(thats was the general dusting)…and the maids dont do it…some women do for making a six pack too…so that I have heard:cb:
Re: Mopping - a question
The new cleaning service we use makes a concoction of bleach and floor cleaner. The bleach probably gives it the brightness. They also get down on their knees and clean with towels.
Re: Mopping - a question
simple… just give mop to Papaof3; sit back and watch… ![]()
Re: Mopping - a question
lol, thanks for the suggestions! I liike the poocha-papaof3 ideal lol!!
I think its time to fire the swiffer, get a real mop and take a long browse in the cleaning isle at the grocery store. then hand it all over to pp3!
Re: Mopping - a question
yeah i need to move on from the swiffer too.. darned thing just keeps on being used cuz i mostly run out on the wipes and just go get a new box! soooo, wats the bestest mopping system out there??
anyone tried any of the vileda mopping stuff? what's the best (and time efficient) thing to use on linoleum n hardwood floors?
Re: Mopping - a question
mr. clean diluted in some water with a standard mop!
best. cleaner. EVER!
we get maids to come once a month and honestly, i had to find out what i could use to replicate the sparkle and shine they leave behind, that Mr. Clean Concentrate was it. its amazing- and you can use it throughout the house.

i dont like any of the mops out there....the sponges get dirty easily and collect all kinds of bacteria....you have to keep cleaning them and replacing them.
I prefer using the store bought mop and attaching a towel to the end of it rather then using the sponge(this is how most cleaning ladies do it)...after you are done cleaning...just throw the towel in the washing machine. It cleans much better...trust me.
Re: Mopping - a question
^ throw the dirty towel in the same washing machine you wash your clothes in??
Id never do that.
