Moosa Khan

Did anyone watch it on PTV.
The movie although had the same old story did have some freshness to it.

For one, the casting was wonderful..all the way to the little boy azaan. The background musin absolututely wonderful. And Shaan and Saima’s performance very impressive.

The movie displayed a very delicate side of Islam… not just the mainstream violent picture that we see in the media nowadays.
For ex. when Shaan actually asks his dad for permission to go to Jihad. I mean how many people picked up on that.

I think the Shaan director producer and Jawad Ahmed music team is wonderful and can really change lollywood. Way better then the lame attempts by Syed Noor and Jawaid Sheikh who go to India for talent.

Now the important part… where can I buy a DVD/VCD of Moosa Khan?

Are you thinking of the movie with the kid with a shotgun and a bunch of grenades? The one where a single shot should blow the little kid's arm out, in the real world? The one where the villian with the semi-automatic started shooting at the hero while he was prayed and impressively missed each one? The one where said bullets were cartoons, too huge and going way too slowly? The one with the bullets being stopped by our Neo wannabe? It's a free community, you cna spend money on the movie if you want, but I wouldn't go near the movie with any form of acceptable currency.

I did say it had the same old story line, but in comparision to others it was a better try.

and besides anything with Shaan in it… i’ll watch

Ah, there we have the real reason. I was wondering why you would want to see a little kid killing people, or CGI that would have been an embarressment five years ago, or general video quality that looks like it has been shot with an 1980s camera.

pakistani movies are sooo annoying, pathetic, disgraceful, loud, vulgar, give u a headache and put u to sleep.

lets not turn this into a lollywood bashing session please.

if you have no interest in it.. then you shouldnt have any interest in this thread. right..?

agreed... They try to copy India...and end up nowhere....!

Honestly, I had higher expectations from Shaan. Same old villians, same old over dramatization of dialogues. Same old all hindus are bad and have evil intentions for the muslims. Saima's gotta go, she's friggin too old to be starring as a blossoming young beauty. Noor's dance was pathetic, she had no class whatsoever. Saima shouldn't have done the lagi lagi song at all! And if she had to, then she should've worn clothes that suited her instead of trying to expose whatever she has.

And what of Rambo strangling that girl that loved him in the name of izzat, and that was suppose to be some pious act and was suppose to preserve how good of a muslim she was? Meanwhile at the beginning it was totally islamic of him to own that bar, with her as a bar tender wearing sleeveless and what not? Now that was really islamic. Ugh the inconsistencies!

I stopped watching it after shaan and saima get married - Anyhow, the only good thing about the whole movie was the soundtrack. I'd be willing to watch the vidoes of "mein tou piya ki rahoN gi" and "bin tere kya hai jeena" - other than that, audios for the rest are fine.

but the new movies are really good like commando and others:rolleyes:

The movie had some good parts in it, specially Shaan's performance, the sound track, and the ending, eventhough not extremely realistic, but very emotional and complementing the plot of the movie. True, it was not 100% perfect, but it was a very good effort. Also keep in mind that most of the Indian movies are not 100% perfect either. As for people throwing in their 2 cents and using this thread to bash any/every/all things with a Pakistani/Islamic flavor to it, I would agree with Muniya's assessment: this is not the right thread for you; gupshup already has, unfortunately, dozens of threads dedicated for that purpose. And no, I do not agree with the movie's idea that all hindus are evil: there are good and bad in every religion and culture.

ALL U INDIANIZED FOOLS MOOS KHAN IS A GREAT MOVIE!
IT IS A SLAP ON ALL THE HINDUS FACES
LEARN TO REPRESENT UR COUNTRY OR DON'T CALL UR SELF PAKISTANI

PakCanada - Write lower caps next time, you’ve been around here long enough to know that.

Anyhow, when it comes to appreciating the slightest improvement in pakistani entertainment industry, I am of the first to appreciate it. But i won’t sit here and praise everything blindly just because it’s pakistan, because that leaves no room for improvement. Har cheez kaam ke hisaab se honi chahiye, there should be appreciation where it’s due, and criticism where it’s due.

the hindu muslim issue.. hmmm
isnt it better then always watching muslim bashing movies.
Doesnt it upset you to pay to be cussed out..so what if Pakistan made something of the sort. In a perfect world both countries wouldnt stoop to such levels...but we are far from perfect.

When I say they try to copy India.. I don’t mean that they are copying Indian stories… but they are actually copying the dances and vulgar clothes which Indian actor/actresses wear… I agree that Lollywood thrives for the betterment of their films, but instead of trying to mould themselves in accordance to Indian elements they should try to maintain their own individuality…keeping in view that Pakistan is a Muslim country… Well, that’s MY opinion…urz might be different..everyone’s entitled to their own opinions…

P.S: I mean no offense to anyone here! P.C calm down… We all love Pakistan, and when we criticize it doesn’t mean that we are discouraging the industry but trying to encourage them to do better…

Yea..the movie was plain stupid! same ol story line in every freakin film.:o
towards the ending..the part where he [Shaan] and the Villin are fighting and the villin has the rifle in his hand and Shaan jumps from the ground and somehow the rifle automatically comes in the air and he kills the guy…how pathetic! :smack:

All u people saying that these movies Suck...think again.... pakistan is 56 years old...the film indusry is abt 40-50 years old...were indian films or american films all that good witin their 50 years of country independence.... All u ppl are Just soo......

^ Errrm...

Pathetic movie...Pathetic acting and the most Pathetic...Saima. She should be banned from doing films any more. Too much fat and no talent.

In 40 to 50 years, there has been tremendous movement in all entertainment sectors except for film.

Its not that Pakistani film industry hasn't had the time to get its act together. Quite the contrary, we started out with a great industry when Pakistan was made and the state of affairs has been on an exponential decline since.

The film industry has been taken over by a bunch of ignorants who are dangerous to deal with, and as a result, progress has been stunted. People who can make real progress can't do as much as they want, because they're stopped every second of the way.

:rotfl: :rotfl: maybe you’d like to change that.
