Moosa Khan

Lollywood ki old movies! 60's and 70's kya baath hai, the songs were beautiful, the actresses were good looking, there was no over acting, good story outlines, what has happened to them now? surely u cant say today's lollywood is still doing as well?

I do appreciate the good movies by syed noor but they still need a lot of improvement.

Pakistani dramas and videos are also getting a bit too modern, but they are still watchable, way much better than the industry.

NOTE TO PAKISTAN GOVERMENT: PLEASE ISS KO KHATAM KAREIN, SHUT IT DOWN!

now dont say u wont be able to live without lollywood if it really shuts down!

After the rather subtle and sweet Mujhay Chand Chahiyey, I though Shaan would make similar stuff...and I'm one of the guy's biggest fans...followed him all the way thru the making of Guns and Roses, where he promised he'd change Pakistani cinema forver. But this Moosa Khan must be one of his most terrible flicks....other than the music, the locales and certain bits of acting, the movie really sucks. The story is so un-intelligent, even a kid can tell that....and heck, it has the looks of a real low budget flick...tacky sets, bad choreography [now after Mujhay Chand Chahiye, where this department was so well handled, Moosa Khan was a shocker] and a terrible script, and a terrible, terrible print full of dust and scratches which really put me off....I couldnt bare sitting through the whole movie, so terribly boring and annoying it was.

The scene where the guy leaves the lead actress, and she woos him back by quoting Ayats from the Holy book was in bad taste. Religion was certainly exploited in this movie.

I saw Moosa on VCD....did they cut those cheapy dances by Noor and Saima on PTV?

A plea to all those Lollywood directors: Plz bash them Hindus and Indies....but do it intelligently and in a more a sophisticated manner!

the hindu muslim issue.. hmmm
isnt it better then always watching muslim bashing movies.
Doesnt it upset you to pay to be cussed out..so what if Pakistan made something of the sort. In a perfect world both countries wouldnt stoop to such levels...but we are far from perfect.

agree with you there muniya 100%.

look at all the pakistanis here in this thread (like everywhere else) are just trying to prove themselves to be politically correct, trying to fit in the crowd and feeling ashamed of the Pakistani/Islamic background.

they must realize that india churns out anti-pakistan movie at a staggering frequency. why do these ppl keep quiet then?!!!!

i hardly see anyone here getting upset when they pay hundreds of dollars to watch indian channels and movies that are full of islam/muslim bashing and have the same old "muslims/pakistanis are bad and have evil desgin for hindians".

and yes so what if a pakistani movie of the same theme has come out ...

India is NOT a muslim country... Pakistan is an Islamic Republic....

The storyline and theme are just fine and to be honest I think we need a lot more films of this sort.

But the video quality, the acting, the music, the makeup and costumes are crap, shameful.

Pakistanis cinema should pull its socks up or it deserves to be shut down.

u ppl should all be ashamed for picking indian movies over this.

We are not praising Indian films over here...

I don’t know about Noor but Saima’s extremely vulgar dance was there :smack:

Okay what i don't understand is that all those that are pro-moosa khan automatically assume that everyone who didn't like the flick somehow likes watching anti-pakistan/anti-Islam movies churned out by bollywood. Let me assure that this is not the case. I rarely ever watch bollywood flicks anymore let alone anti-pakistani ones, they are mostly an insult to intelligence. And i'd rather spend my 3 hours doing something more productive. I don't know the latest bollywood flicks anymore, neither do i know what songs are hit these days. When something is extra-ordinarily good, and is recommended by someone with good taste, i'll give it try. Otherwise no thanks.

At my house, we don't subscribe to an indian channel. Period. As annoyed as I get with Prime sometimes, at least I can watch it with my parents around without worrying about changing the channel lest something soft-core comes on. What i do appreciate prime for is music, I'm much more upto date with pakistani music than i was before prime. I love the improvements in the music industry, well pop music at least. :-)

^Ditto!

The middle of Moosa khan was totaly shaan style. The love and romance of the hubby and wife. The attachment, him changing all that was beautiful... Give the movie where credit is due. Dont just shun the entire thing.

Anywho, I liked it.. cross out the violence and the fantasy part.. I liked the relationship between the family. I think Shaan can really make a difference if he just stays away from making movies to please the masses.

Moosa khan def. had some pros, especially compared to the other junk lollywood is churning out.

And I have to say, I do think some of the opinions in this thread are an attempt to fit into the happening crowd.
