Ya..maybe it also has to do with that tradition they had when the bride and groom sit under a dupatta and then they put a mirror and they see each other for the first time through the mirror?

i got a beautiful gulluband (choker) set with awesome joomkay that was originally given to his mom from him grandmother for her wedding 30-something years ago, alhamdulillah :).

wow thats nice because as long as i know no one keeps the jewellery for so long......they change the design after a while..........my sister has changed all her wedding jewellery after 2 years of her wedding.

iam gud nuff for him..
even at our nikka.. he gave me presents and i gave him a ring..at 1st i completly forgot abt it..lol i remembered when he gave me my ring and he said i want nothing from u because i got the greatest gift from god which is U..lol
i was like "awww but i did get u a ring" it was quite a funny moment..lol

yeah My husband got ME ;)
and i got a beautiful Birks diamond ring and a gold chain with diamond and a very beautiful blueish opal pendant which he literally mined in Australia when he went there to visit before we got married..he got those opals and he kept them for his future wife (sweet ) when wegot engaged he took those rocks to birks and got a locket made for moi :D

I had a gold ring from my hubby... and in return I had to give back his glass rose he had given 3 years before our marriage. Long story short... i didnt agree with the arrangement of our shaadi.. as i was still deciding whether he was the right man for me...... he gave a glass rose and said I dont know what the future holds but if you agree then I would love you to bring that with you when we get married one day... and funny enough.. I did!

Not really, some presents is only good at that specific time... like, getting it 2-5-6 years after marriage its just a gift, not a moonh dikhai. =/
