wow egypt sounds amazing.........i think frst gift u get it says a lot about the guy.............
omg red ruby id love to see those earrings! they sound gorgeous!!
silsila, i went to cairo for a couple of days to go site seeing, it wasnt good. i guess its a good thing to go to egypt once in ur life just to see the pyramids and stuff but thats really all there is there. just watch out, they will know ur a tourist and will try to take out as much money from u as possible. just remember to bargain with everything just like in paksitan, bargain to buy things, bargain for a cab ride, i remember buying papyrus with my and my sisters name written in heiroglyphics on it and we reduced the prices by over 50%, now looking back who knows if its even our names written on it! just remember to bargain everywhere, they will not let u walk out their store empty handed.
unfortunately, i didnt get anything on the wedding night but we went to istanbul for a week on our honeymoon and went all out, went to beautiful, trendy restaurants, bought everything i liked and once we got back to ny he got me the new 3G iphone! i think i would have asked for diamond studs cuz ive wanted them for a few yrs, but his dad knew i wanted them and got them for me on the wedding. :)
btw, we are thinking of going to peru in february for a week. if anyone has any suggestions of where to go there, or not go there at all. thanks.
He gifted me a gold, white pearl necklace and earrings and a ring with 3 hearts, one in white gold and the others two in yellow gold
Moo Dikhai kehte ha isse?
thats strange cus everyone who I know who has been there loved it, we are planning on staying just outside luxor, but most of the hotels in luxor are awful ....cairo only has pyrimads to offer that I know so we are only going to do a day trip there..... but we have found a hotel by movenpick, which is on a small island, a few miles out of luxor and is 5*, which is surrounded by the river nile, it will be like maldives all over again lol.its secluded so will avoid the hustle of the luxor and we get have a nice boat trip into luxor when we want to visit the numerous tombs/mosques etc - as luxor is the place which has lots to do in terms of sight seeing. They have balloon rides, fishing so lots of activities to enjoy. Sharm al shiekh sounds lovely but apart from sunbathing there is nothing else to do. My husband loves islamic history, so thats y we are going.........he already wants to go to palestine, jerusleum and isreal. He loves the way mosques are built and the artwork.

Never been to Peru, but whenever we're planning trips, I always use tripadvisor and travel.yahoo, they both have helped me so much! For hotels, things to do, where to eat, shopping, general tips etc
yeh i only went for 2 days and only to see the pyramids. we stayed at the moevenpick in cairo, near the airport. hope its fun for u guys! also if ur husband is into islamic history, then u NEED to go to istanbul. its a beautiful city and rich in islamic culture. atleast some part of it is, its got too many tourists and looks like a completely western/euro country.
we considered that but in march the weather is not that good hence why we chose egypt. the blue mosque - thats in istanbul right? Thats gorgeous mashallah!
yeh the blue mosque, hagia sophia and topkapi palace (it's got a harem in there and a seperate place with so many beautiful jewels of the ottoman empire and another section of things of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) such as his swords and the caliphs' swords the whole section is devoted to islam). the three places that i feel are a must see there.
I'm not married yet but attended my friend's wedding recently. She told us that on the wedding night, her husband told her he didn't get her mu dikhaai since he had seen her 'mu' already so many times so it made no sense! lol.. She said she was in a slight shock until he smiled and pulled out diamond studded anklets that he then put on her ankles. She said they both cracked up on stage at the valima when someone asked what he had given her :p
Haha... I thought that was very cute :)
