Take it very easy for the next 6-8 weeks. Try to rest whenever you can. Your body needs to heal. Please don't listen to women who were apparently out and about after a week. They might feel great right now but these things catch up to you in old age.
As for nutrition, have oatmeal, yakhni, milk with almonds. And make sure to have three proper meals with healthy snacks in between.
what kind of rest? I am NOT doing any chores but sit most of the time for baby, mainly to b feed her. but even that much is taking such a heavy toll on me. especially the b feeding time, i feel so nauseous. Could be because of weakness? I am having boiled eggs, milk, yakhni and roti two times.
You'll need to eat more when you're breastfeeding. I was hungry allllll the time while bfing! It's like being pregnant. 200 extra calories or so a day. You burn a lot of calories just breastfeeding so it's only natural to feel hungry/weak if you don't eat
Mirage are you on prenatals? Keep taking your prenatals. They're very important!! Also if you're not drinking milk regularly, then also consider taking a calcium supplement.
It's normal to feel tired, frustrated and overwhelmed right now. Sleep deprivation plays a big role in that. Just try to nap with the baby. Your body is not used to sleeping for such small intervals but it will soon adjust. Hang in there!

That is not enough food. You need proper breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Take healthy snacks in the middle. If you don't change your diet, you will feel this weakness for a long time. This low quality of food might also effect your milk supply and the quality of milk.
Just wanted to share the news that I gave birth to my beautiful daughter on Tuesday morning. Her elder brother is getting used to having a sister around. She was unintentionally born at home! It sure will be a birth story for her to listen to when she grows up.
Make dua that all our children are blessed with imaan and fear of Allah in abundance. Ameen.
Many congratulations to all the mothers who have announced the births of their bundles of absolute joy.
Alhumdulillah i'm blessed with a baby boy 2 weeks back:),life is completely changed,i wanna k:(now abt breastfeeding routine, how long one should feed and how much gap should b there,i m having problems at night bcoz the baby wants the feed like whole night
For the first 2 months you need to breastfeed on the baby’s demand. Slowly, after the first month, you’ll establish a routine. But generally baby should be feeding every 2-3 hours or on demand, as you seem to be doing. Newborns have small tummies and breastmilk gets digested quicky, so they feel hungrier faster. Don’t worry about establishing a routine as of yet…he’s still just a newborn
