imho, finding out gender beforehand isn’t interfering with Allah’s plan in any way unless you’re planning to abort your fetus if its not what you were expecting; i don’t think anyone here would do something as horrific. its a surprise AND Allah’s blessing- no matter when you find out, 20 weeks or at birth.
I agree with SGC on this…when we were going through IVF, my RE said we could opt for gender selection if we so chose to (and pay an additional $20K out of pocket to send the sperm to a special lab in California ) but I was vehemently against it as to me that would be interfering with Allah’s plans for us and our baby…however, finding out the gender of an already formed and thriving fetus during a routine ultrasound..I don’t see the harm in that at all!
I’ve heard that most dr’s/clinics in Pakistan do not reveal the gender though…
^ probably because people there might opt for aborting a female fetus. there are tons of cases like that in india, even though i'm pretty sure it is against the law to do so.
My hospital dont tell the gender of the baby!It is against their policy. what do I do to know?
go to an ultrasound specialist.
i was just thinking how important knowing was for me. and in knowing I named my child and the baby became real before birth for me and my husband especially due to having a name and gender.
I gave birth to a beautiful lil angel on 20-12-2012 thursday.I had normal delivery.I am MA very happy..had labour pains for 24 hours. Thanks to Allah for a beautiful baby.

from what I ve been hearing from around, its almost the same story. People are mostly waiting and crossing the edd and still no signs of labor. This is something which scares me aswell.
Time flies when you’re pregnant and have a toddler. I don’t even know where time went … I am so not ready for baby yet I hope baby comes after 39 weeks …
