Mom, Dad, I'm not a Muslim and I'm gay

Re: Mom, Dad, I'm not a Muslim and I'm gay

So you think every white person is a racist?

Re: Mom, Dad, I'm not a Muslim and I'm gay

Do you think every Muslim would disown their own blood due to sexual orientation? That should answer your own question and the concept of of what constitutes a "hero".

Re: Mom, Dad, I'm not a Muslim and I'm gay

Yes because all homosexuals are into drinking, partying hard, lying to ones family and having multiple sex partners.

Re: Mom, Dad, I'm not a Muslim and I'm gay

wow she thinks being non muslims is gay ?? mahsllah...

Re: Mom, Dad, I'm not a Muslim and I'm gay

But if you look at it from the G&L's perspective, Islam is the leader in bashing G&L's so if you take out the fact that she was a rebel, she would be seen as a hero.

Re: Mom, Dad, I'm not a Muslim and I'm gay

Sometimes, we write things we later realize were stupid. It's best to just acknowledge the mistake and move on.

True story bro.

Re: Mom, Dad, I'm not a Muslim and I'm gay

Good to realize you finally got my message. Yet you didn't acknowledge it. You may wish to do so. Somethings I post are bait for our more liberal posters.

Gaia from a G&L perspective any organized religion including Christainity and Judaism are leaders in bashing gays. While they are not stoned or given death sentences, the fight against their life style is more nefarious as it is fought legally by denying them basic rights like to get married or be given access to private establishments.

Re: Mom, Dad, I’m not a Muslim and I’m gay

R u muslim?

what a beautiful sign u have lady…

dont think about G&L’s perspective even thugs, dacaits, nazis and terrorists have their heroes

Re: Mom, Dad, I'm not a Muslim and I'm gay

At best she's gutsy, though I wouldn't even call her that as her parents seem pretty laxed and supportive about her decisions.

Re: Mom, Dad, I'm not a Muslim and I'm gay

so do these western papers ever consider someone hero.....like..if they were your typical stereotypical western gal who was say, some stripper or soemthing........and she somehow converted to islam and started living a pious person's life............ would she be classified as 'hero' by the media.............. bcoz she is going against whats typical/expected of her??

Re: Mom, Dad, I'm not a Muslim and I'm gay

so on one hand, her having sex and drinking is liberation

whereas the bellydancers are reduced to body parts other control say whaa whooo uff chup.

dont care about her lifestyle, but her rationality and logic are offfff

Re: Mom, Dad, I’m not a Muslim and I’m gay

why are we discussing her? :konfused:

Re: Mom, Dad, I'm not a Muslim and I'm gay

Good point. Hollywood director Oliver Stone's son converted to Islam this week and everybody is ridiculing him in the yahoo comments I read (even though he said he is not turning his back on his Judo-Christian heritage).

Re: Mom, Dad, I'm not a Muslim and I'm gay

It's all about perspective. Only certain forms of rebellion are considered heroic. Am sure nobody would ever feel the same about somebody reverting to Islam and becoming a preacher. That would then come across as Talibanisation.

The last two lines of the article are SERIOUSLY disturbing!

Re: Mom, Dad, I’m not a Muslim and I’m gay

I can’t help but compare.

Re: Mom, Dad, I'm not a Muslim and I'm gay

This tendency is found in all the humans and of every race. Even women in Iran find a way to have sex and party and drink and so do the men, same in Pakistan. The thing in western countries is that we have an easier access to partying and drinking and sex. The western media is hell bent on destroying the image of Islam in the eyes of the world uses these rebellious nature in men and women and exploits it as some extreme oppression on women by not letting them have sex with random people or drink or party. As the jews would say "Shame on you".

Re: Mom, Dad, I’m not a Muslim and I’m gay

Awesome… i just feel like repeating myself

Re: Mom, Dad, I’m not a Muslim and I’m gay

She said: **‘Muslim women are either belly-dancing members of a harem, reduced to body parts that someone else controls, or shrouded in black cloth with no desire and having no sex. **
Retarded mind brought this retarded statement and anyone who agreed with this is proven lunatic. :rotfl:

Can we now move this thread to joke forum please?

Re: Mom, Dad, I'm not a Muslim and I'm gay

False analogy. First of all, sexual orientation is not a function of background (according to some). Secondly, the "background" of a "white guy" is not synonimous with being a racist.

Re: Mom, Dad, I'm not a Muslim and I'm gay

Neither is Muslim synonymous for being anti-GLBT. Thanks for proving my point.
