This mohajir crap has to be stopped. You live in Paklistan so you are a pakistani. Millions of people migrated from India in 1947 and settled all over Pakistan. About 75% of those who migrated settled in Panjab. No one calls themselves mohajir anymore except the people in Karachi. How many of those who migrated in 1947 are still alive? May be 15 % or even less. That means all the other so called mohajirs were born and bred in Pakistan. They got educated and made their money in Pakistan. So what is this Mohajir business? Get out of this stupid Mohajir shell and start showing your loyalty to Pakistan where you eat and live. Or do you plan to go back to India? If that is the case then hurry the F* up and get out of Pakistan and go where your loyalties are and where you find comfort. Its about time to stop this hypocritical attitude.

All jokes aside we must get rid of this sub divisive mentality. We are all Pakistanis, with an equal share and rights in that land. No Punjabi/Sindhi/Pakhtoon etc ID’s, just Pakistani, one nation under God.

This is the greatest stupidity and nothing more than hypocritic and emotional nonsense. What is Pakistan and Pakistani identity. It was concieved as a federation of 5 different nations, and not a toilet paper to be used by Punjabi chauvinists to amass resources and unbriddled power, and it should try to become that. No need to be do away with my thousands of years of culture and history.

Totally Agree!!..Very Well said!!!..I have noticed the divisive attitude more here in the US(as of my experience)…Its amazing that the first time people meet someone…the question here is “where r u from…Punjab or Karachi?”..WTH…it cant even be parralled..they r comparing between a city and a state??..Anyway I think its about time that people rid their minds of this junk and fill it up in trying to be better muslims and then Pakistanis:)

my question is if in karachi especially mohajirs have developed grievances with the population at large? is it just khekshen or is the downfall of the pak army on more peoples minds?

punjabi,sindhi,pathan and balochi all are representing Pakistan. You can't say you are a punjabi and not confirm to being a pakistani. I dont even mind somebody saying my parents migrated and all but insist on being a migrant when you were born and bred in the land? pray tell how exactly are you mohajir?

Some of the replies in this thread, and the closed thread regarding Imran Khan just goes to show the hatred amongst the Pakistanis themselves.
It is pointless blaming the external forces and saying everyone is against Pakistan, when so called Pakistanis themselves are against each other!
I am sorry to say Pakistan will remain Pakistan - divided amongst ethinc lines.

Muhajirs have shown loyality to Pakistan, even when there was no Pakistan. Time for rest of Pakistanis to step up and accept Muhajirs.

When you compare anything to everything Urdu speaking/ Muhajir with terrorisim, problem will occur. People talk about Pakistan giving them opportunity to live and make money, think for a second and ponder this sentence for a mintue. Who is not accepting someone as their own? Who is calling someone as a second class/ refugee?
Did Muhajir/ Urdu speaking ever talked about another country?
Ever talked about separation?
Ever protested against the government and existence of Pakistan?
Ever threathened to overthrow and launch suicide attacks against government? Even when they were being prosecuted?

Let me bring this argument to new light; Muhajir/ Urdu speaking do care about Pakistan. They are Liaqat Ali Khan to Nasir Aslam Zahid. They do not belong to ethnicity, they bleong to Pakistan.

These Urdu speakers when they arrived from India should have left India behind and assimilated into the local population. I think of all communities, Punjabis faced riots, looting and killings in east Punjab(half of my extended family is from east punjab) but they did well to become Pakistanis and forget everything. Punjabis got truncated Punjab(they were suppose to recieve Amritsar, Ambala)- as far as I know Britishers promised Quaid that they will give the entire punjab to muslims and re-patriate hindus and sikhs somewhere in UP and Bihar but that Hindu right-wing leader Gandhi spoiled the show.. :(
