Modern Woman

***Going through various threads in Life 1 , I’m a lil confused to the “Desi " Definition of what constitutes a " Modern” woman !

Care to enlighten :chai:***

Re: Modern Woman

There are 2 kind of women in the world. Very dumb ones and not so dumb.
Not so dumb ones never use those words.

Re: Modern Woman

A women who is adopting the fashion and culture from the modern era . Mostly influenced by the western civilization . It has nothing to do with the thought process .

Re: Modern Woman

Women who don't smell like fried onions and salaan are modern.

You're gonna get a thousand different views on this topic because it really depends on the person's mentality. For some, being modern is to do adapt the western culture in terms of clothes, fashion, language etc.

For others, like myself, being modern has nothing to do with looks. Benazir Bhutto was a modern woman, in my opinion. And she didn't need to take the dupatta off her head to become a successful modern woman.

Re: Modern Woman

A woman with ability to mould herself in different roles in society and home. She can smell of onion and curry at times but can also have a confident intellectual conversation in social gatherings, holding a decent social standing. It's not about how she dresses, it's about the mindset she has.

Re: Modern Woman

it used to be a modern woman was one who dressed in all the latest trends, was educated, worked etc.... but i think as time goes by, and peoples mentalities are ever changing, the line between modern and traditional/good or bad, is changing.
