Why do girls wear hijab and then tights w/ sandals or the highest heels in the world down below?!
It causes more attraction to men who aren’t even looking. I don’t see why girls don’t notice that and when I tell some of them they freak out. Isn’t the whole point of a scarf to hide yourself?
not entirely uncle. Ok lemme put it this way, the above shoulder thing is to please God and create naik shareef impressions and please aunties and uncles.
Part-time hijaabi's r the funniest in my opinion. The ones who take hijaab to school but not at weddings etc. one may argue atleast they r meeting the religious requirement half the time, but I wwonder if duplicity is worse or not wearing hijaab.
this topic has been beaten to death though. search 'hijaab' and u'll find related threads.

believe me part time Hijaab is not as bad as it seems. the other niight there was this Documentry on Channel 4 (UK tv Channel) about gay muslims in UK. There is this organisation of gay & lesbian Muslims called Imaan (Ironic! isn't it), the funniest thing is that all lesbian members of Imaan wear HIJAAB saying Islam teaches them modesty!!1
haha u just reminded me of a girl in college who started wearing hijab right after 9/11 and became actively involved in Muslim Students Assoc at college. im like why would u choose to wear it now when hijabi musilmahs are under the worst kinda lynching from the public. anyways she garnered lotsa attention from the curious american crowd at college, gave a few lectures to us everytime we met on how we should never speak to guys with eye contact and when the fizz started to die out a few month later i saw her outside school smoking minus the hijab with fiery red hair and lycra pants.
these girls are expected to to live the kind of lifestyle their parents wish them too...they can say NO and upset their parental units and get a slap or too for their trouble, perhaps teh threat of an arranged marriage or even worse
the emotional blackmail that parents like to endulge in every now and again
its far easier to act out your parents wishes and try to express your individuality or fashion sense with things like shoes...
I say shoes becaue the topic matter was about shoes
I think for some girls these days wearing hijab is a fashion icon to keep themselves updated in mod Islamic society. Well, we also must understand that in most cases one side they have their parents forcing them to wear hijab and other hand they still have to keep themselves with outer world. Hijab dose not come in this case by choice. I just wanted to say that back off and leave them alone. This is their life and they have total right to be what ever they want to be. No one has a right to judge any other person. God is the only one knows dil ka hal and ppl’s intention. That’s why person’s intension plays a huge roll in Islam. Well, I have seen many ppl (i will say about both guys and girls) that wear a title of Muslim but do not practice Islam. Only namaz roza is not Islam, basics of Islam are in each of us and that is humanity. So before picking on others lets see ourselves how deep regretful we will be at the day of questioning.
Cleaning our hearts is a one jihad we have to do. I tell you it is hard but then again as God says in Quran, after every hardship comes the ease.
Bottom line, if you have respect for yourself you will give respect to others. Do not treat others the way they are, treat them the way you and your tarbiat was done.
For the girls who do wear Hijab, just to let you know that you are not wearing hijab for others the only resone Hijab is their to protect you from evil coming near you which has many forms, just make sure its not in you already.
Tights w/sandals...I understand, but why does wearing hijaab with heels bother you..? By wearing hijaab they are fulfilling a part of religion, but religion doesn't stop them from dressing up for, say, college or workplace..?
I don't think it has anything to do with "getting into the promiscous society" and trying to attract other people's attention waghaira. For me, it seems very simple, more like they want to wear heels and like to dress up, may be they are short, or may be they just like heels and feel more comfortable in them (few of my friends). Iss key ilawa, Muslim guys always get irritated from heels of hijaabi girls, what about others who wear it all the time and it never seems to bother them..?
