Hi everyone,
I am going to have a baby boy and have no idea what to name him. I would love to choose a Muslim name that also goes well in the western society.
That being said, what names are currently trending for baby boys? I would love to hear from everyone so that I can get an idea what parents are naming their children from different parts of the world.

Nyle/Niall is one of my favourites. It means acquirer/earner in Arabic.

How far along r you teddy bear? When is your due date. I heard naming in a way that matches with the month is v beneficial. I have one blog pm me I will fwd it to you.

Lately I’ve developed a liking for the name, Wali. Courtesy of Fawad Khan’s character in the drama, Numm, and also my interest in tasawwuf and the awliya. The goray folk, no doubt, will butcher the pronunciation. But I like that it’s short and I love the meaning of the name; friend/companion/guardian…all traits that a person should have…but best of all to be a wali of Allah.

Shaan, Ayaan, Rayaan, Shayaan have been everywhere in the past decade.
Now I’m seeing a lot of short ones that translate well in Western countries too, like Nyle, Daniyaal, Aadam, etc.

Nyle is very popular lately! I know of 3-4 in the past 2 years in our community but I also have a Morrocan friend whose 13 year old is name Nyle so I think it’s just late getting to desis lol

oh, you mean the River-Nile…that’s English for the Arabic word baHr-e-Neel though…why is it spelled Nyle then?
