sabah - please tell me why S700i is better than K700i.
I was comparing the two and S700i is 32MB, 117 kgs whereas K700i is 41MB and 93 kgs and is targetted to the public keeping photo albums and exchanging pictures mostly through the mobile (some other features that Im forgetting from the comparison).
Please tell me why is S700i better than K700i.
The price difference is almost half. Please tell me. Im seriously considering these two.
Ok I just spent about $344 on a Nokia 6260 I wanted to get 6230 and today I saw the 6260 which looked better. Is that over priced? Or is the price right? I bought it off of ebay. But I am feeling nervous about it. My parents might freak when they see the bill....
I got myself a Motorola V3 Razor for Christmas, by far the coolest phone I have had to date It so easy to carry around and wherever I go, it definately makes heads turn.
It is bluetooth enabled and has a reasonabaly decent camera + the usual phone features, great battery life, memory etc. It comes in a slick, futuristic looking presentation box, and everything about it oozes quality.
Im a big treo buff. Ive had the HP Ipaq as well, but I wouldnt recommend it, its way too big, and if youre used to palm, Ipaq is just not your thing. T-mobile has the Treo600, looks cool (like a start trek communicator), sleek and small. I got a new one from a T-mobile corporate store for only $99.99 (no rebates), they matched the price of an online store. If you go with cingular, you can get the improved 650 with bluetooth, video and mp3 player, but then again T-mobile is givng a 64Mb card for free with the Treo 600 (limited time offer).
the S700 is an mp3 player + has more PDA functions and a 1.3 MP camera onboard. Ithas a 260k screen where the k700 has a 65 k screen no mp3 player and 640x640 pixels camera and virtualy no pda functions.
I finally switched to Cingular now, temporarily they have ported the number to a V551 while I make my mind about what to get for myself .. and right now am contemplating between Treo 650 and Sony Ericsson s710a.
After rebates, not much of a price difference… and SE s710a has much better multimedia features. Though lack of open OS and limited software ability prevents it from being called a Smartphone. s710a has an amazing screen resolution (262k colors), but an odd swivel design, which is really not very intuitive. My main worry about Treo is that it may be a great PDA and has tons of features, but I am not sure if it is really a good phone - meaning call quality. I have read very mixed reviews. On the good side is that I have Sony Clie right now, so moving all my data to Treo will be a breeze.
Here are the pics of both devices I am looking at

Sony Ericsson s710a
Actually I don't mind the extra bulk but the issue of it having touch screen, so putting it in a pocket is inconvenient. Its not really that heavy or that big. On regular phones you can either lock the keys or close the clam-shell.
But with that said, i don't think I'll now be able to go t a lesser phone.
PS: Oh, and almost forgot, the thumbpad that you see in the pictures is included in the box.
Update.. finally decided on and got Treo 650 from Cingular. It has some weird kinks, but over all a nice smartphone.
The thing that put me off SE S710a finally was lack of add-on software, the unusual swivel design, which was not very intuitive and the phone was not comfortable to hold and operate.
