Mobile phone reviews please!

I’m thinking of getting a new mobile phone..I’d like some opinions on which is best out of the following:

Samsung D500

Nokia 6230

Nokia 6610i

Samsung E800

Sony Ericsson K700i

From what I have heard Sony K700 is good but, my brother already has one and I’d like something different..

Re: Mobile phone reviews please!

yes please. me too. Im looking to buy a new phone with good camera and bluetooth. please suggest something. Thanks.

Re: Mobile phone reviews please!

Samsung D500 is best what you have mentioned in the list, it has good features, and thinking myself to go for the first time for a Samsung.

it has got good internal memory i think 98MB. camera with flash, mp3 player, and some PDA functions.

Re: Mobile phone reviews please!

i checked. our local f*cked up network does not support D500. which means i cant get this one :(

Re: Mobile phone reviews please!

please suggest something else. please!!!

Re: Mobile phone reviews please!

I don't have any of these but I like the Nokia 6230 and I like the Samsung P735 (I think its samsung...its by tmobile)

Re: Mobile phone reviews please!

S700 sonyericsson, same fam as K700. Love the cam quality, everything else is more or less like K700. And I like the design, pretty unique :k:

Re: Mobile phone reviews please!

thank you sabah. have you posted here any pictures taken by this phone?

Looking for S700, I've come across S700i. Are these two the same thing?

Re: Mobile phone reviews please!

Re: Mobile phone reviews please!

I got the HP iPaq 6315 a few months ago. GSM Phone, PDA, picture album, camera, GPS etc etc. Plus it has all the connectivity options you can think of, GPRS, Wifi, Bluetooth, IrDA.

Re: Mobile phone reviews please!

^ Hmmm.... My Verizon contract is ending next week, and I am considering a switch to either Cingular or T-Mobile. So between Treo 650 and this iPaq 6315, which one makes more sense?

Both have same price (Treo is proly 50 less after mail-in rebate and 2 yrs contract). Seems to me that both offer similiar features in a similar way. Treo records video, that iPaq doesn't, but I really don't think thats important. iPaq has WiFi which Treo does not. iPaq seems like an older product.. do you know when it was released?

ps. And before anyone mentions it, no I am not considering Sony P910. Thankyou :)

Re: Mobile phone reviews please!

^Faisal bhai, what are your needs? Are you only considering iPaq and Treo or other normal stuff as well :p

TNWB, I don't think that I've posted pics with S700, wasn't allowed to when I had it, but I've taken lots of pics with k700 and posted at GS.

Re: Mobile phone reviews please!

For me 6315 took the lead cuz of Wifi plus VPN, Terminal Services and Citrix clients (I know of a few available VPN solutions for Palm but I couldn't get any to work on my ex-Palm TW). Plus 650 wasn't being offered by TMobile when I got my phone. 6315 was released just a few months before the 650 so not that big a deal. Historically I've been a loyal Palm customer (for about 8-9 yrs), but because of the few little differences and the need to experiment with a product from the other side, I got the iPaq. Ofcourse being Microsoft OS it needs a reset every so often, especially when i was extensively using my GPS add-on last week on my vacation.

Re: Mobile phone reviews please!

okay sabah. im gonna check it out... let's see.

Faisal, TofiBaba - yeh kya language hai?? sweating

Re: Mobile phone reviews please!

lol. Its not that bad TNWB. I agree that there are little more buzz words in my post than there should be. I was just explaining the reasons why i chose one smart-phone over another.

Re: Mobile phone reviews please!

Ok, lets see… I really want a good functional cellphone i.e. good talk quality. In addition, I want to be able to receive/send email through it (meaning some easy form of data entry and not the usual 3-in-1 buttons of a regular cellphone), should sync with an Organizer on my PC so it holds all contacts, calendar, to-do etc; and it should have blue tooth.

Nice-to-have list includes a good screen (65k colors or more), better-than-average camera, video, MP3 player (bonus). Clam-shell design is preferred, but candy-bar is likely to fit the bill.

Re: Mobile phone reviews please!

Faisal

I have the treo 600 for 3 months almost and I am very happy with it. I got it before the 650 came out and they have made some enhancements on the 650. I say go for it.

Re: Mobile phone reviews please!

Faisal bhai, sonyericsson V800 has got all that, plus infrared and videotelephony as added bonus, though VT only works if you have 3G coverage.

Re: Mobile phone reviews please!

Fraudia, Treo 650 is already on my list. I still have a week to figure out, so I am considering my alternatives as well.

sabah baji… That V800 is $700, which is about $200 more than the amount of money I would generally spend on a cellphone/PDA.

Alright, so here are two more alternatives, I am considering.

Re: Mobile phone reviews please!

The reason I would stick with Palm or PPC is cuz of the amount of software available for them. You can put in anything from ebooks to graphic calculator, from action games to remote control software. People have started releasing software for Symbian (SE OS), but its still far behind.
