some bloody guy put up a youtube video of student clash between two student groups. There were no muslims involved in it. It was actually a clash between two set of students belonging to different caste in Madras university. You should do a bit research before posting such propaganda material.

May be you are right, I was skeptical about this video I received but Youtube had same video so I believed it. Anyway, do you have a related news article so we can get this thread closed?

BTW: Why does Indian police always watch from sidelines during mob attacks?

Actually the guy really deserved the beating.
(dalits guys were beating the other caste guy who had just attacked them with a sword).

What had happened there.

There are two castes fighting, dalits and thevar caste (which is also a backward caste). The dalits and thevars hate each other.

This happened at Dr. B.R Ambedkar Law University. Dr B.R Ambedkar was a great dalit leader.
At this college, a group of thevar students organized a college function but in the posters purposely removed Dr. B.R Ambedkar from the college name because the thevars hate dalits and especially dalit leaders like Ambedkar.(even though they have no problem going to this college).
Dalits protested this and this led to tension between the dalits and thevars.
The thevars then told the dalits they could not take the final exams and if they do they would be beaten.
But the dalits went to the final exams and on the way they were attacked by thevar mob including the guy who is getting beaten. This guy brought a sword to the fight.
In the counter attack, the dalits beat up the thevars and caught this guy and gave him a good beating.

Thats how inefficient our police system is. They are too afraid to take actions fearing political backlash. Anyway the police personals were all suspended.
There is also a unwritten rule that police personals are not supposed to enter any campus. Previously there are incidents of large riots when police has entered college campuses.

Yup. Been there seen that. I have seen badmashs of APMSO, Jameetee, PSF, MSF, PPSF and ANP exactly doing that. Is hammam main sub hee nangay hain.

I know I guess we also have same sort of freakish rule in Pakistan at some places. I am in USA from last 10 years or so and have only seen one rule for police: Save life .... thats it no matter where you have to enter and who's a$$ you have to kick. If you see someone's life in danger you are bound to save him/her

i dont have guts to watch this again as incidentally watched this on tv one yesterday.
it was horrific and cowardly…

i was surprised to see the police standing on the side while cowards were beating him up.
yes we do have similar cowards as well.
can anybody confirm the fate of the guy who was beaten?

The first guy was alive with broken leg(s), not sure about the second one.
