Re: Mixed Gender Eid payer in LA
Its uncomfortable to watch because everything is and looks so wrong, I try to be as open minded as possible but truly this is hard to accept. I wish people would educate themselves more and stop adding innovations to a already sound and honest religion.

You wonder why comments are disabled under that video :D
Re: Mixed Gender Eid payer in LA
Eid prayer?
Are they all Muslims?
The womans are not wearing duppata or anything to cover their head in Namaz.
Plus..I don't think so this was a masjid.there were paintings hanging on walls,
I don't know :(
Re: Mixed Gender Eid payer in LA
I hate to judge but I have to:
- Pausing for English translation, umm what??
- Her hands are showing and so are her hair. For an Imamah, I'd expect better.
Anyway...it just looks so wrong. Sorry :(

Also the lady in the red shirt, with everything showing hair etc.
Re: Mixed Gender Eid payer in LA
I dunno. What's with this progressive Islam revolution. Why not change it to some other name, why keep it Islam? This kind of stuff bothers me. I'm not religious by any means...far from it, but if I can't stick to my religion, at least I don't try to change it.
Re: Mixed Gender Eid payer in LA
I get your point and I agree completely it annoys me too, but then I think with the Muslim world facing so many issues why should we worry about religious people, praying wrongly but praying nonetheless?

Change what is in your power to change. Don't hold a defeatist attitude.
Guys, stop with the soft words and be upfront about it. This is not Islam. This is a bunch of misguided people in need of proper guidance.
Re: Mixed Gender Eid payer in LA
So me wanting to worry about the massive massive problems ranging from starvation to corruption and murder in Muslim countries rather than worry about someone praying like that is a defeatist attiude?
Ok O_o
Re: Mixed Gender Eid payer in LA
We also had a mixed gender Eid Fair, where I live
But Namaz was led by a male imam followed by all the men, followed by children and women.
Most of the women were wearing modest clothes.
It was nice and breezy, the sun was not too strong, It was a very tranquilizing morning. Spirituality was in the air.

Everything showing? Yikes, you are talking as if she was wearing a belt sized skirt or something. She is wearing decent clothing. Just needs to cover up her hair...

So should the Taliban and their like minded brethren also change the name of their religion, since it obviously is not Islam that they are practicing?
All in all, this is just a publicity stunt and nothing more...
Re: Mixed Gender Eid payer in LA
Even Veena Malik covers up more skin than IMAMA JAMILA in her religious show.

That's how it should be done I think, traditionally speaking.

Well sure, they can change it too :D
But I think you get what I'm trying to say here.

Re: Mixed Gender Eid payer in LA
Obviously, all guppies here wud have problem with such prayer. However i was a watching a similar video on utube where someone left a comment that hwo come those who r apposing these prayers have nuthing to say from Quran.
How abt we get to it ? Find the faults in the video and back it up using Quranic Ayyats ? If not all then as many as we can find ? Not covering her head wud be easier one to get.

Off course you start with obvious ones, but the way she was offering prayers, because she was doing English translation in between, which becomes Amal-e-Kaseera, if sajda-e-sahaw was not offered, Salat is nullified anyways.
Re: Mixed Gender Eid payer in LA
What's amal e kaseera, TLK? Please translate.
