Anwar Iqbal - Did many plays from Karachi and Quetta e.g. Shama, Chakar-e-Azam, etc.
He still acts. He was last seen in A&B productions 'Aks' playing husband of Naila Jafri (Naila's first remarkable performance was in Quetta TV's Safar where Anwer Iqbal played her husband). Anwer Iqbal is also in telenor's new ad.

Anwar iqbal also worked in lahore......long play khirman (based on khadija mastoor's story).

hmm.... yes she was in the play in a small role, this was the second version of khirman-also an older one starring yasmin ismail, akbar subhani etc.

Fareeha Jabeen did a wonderful job in that role. Didn't know that it was already dramatised

fareeha jabeen was exceptional, though she always....yes i was also unaware of the older one but it was re-telecast in 2003/2004 so watched it.

He worked more on stage than TV, but left showbiz completely around 1995-96 and has been with Tableeghi Jamat ever since then. He came to our mosque a few years back. He had a long white beard and was wearing a dark gown, had some issues with back pain at that time and could not stand for longer periods of time.

don't know about his current status, but he was in America 2/3 years ago.

saleema hashmi and her husband shoaib hashmi of sachgup, akkar bakkar, tall matol. Shoaib hashmi was also in drama balila (shenaz sheikh's debut serial) but banned soon after it aired because of shoaib hashmi's satires. Saleema hashmi is daughter of faiz ahmed faiz and currenly vice chairperson of human rights commission punjab.She also taught at NCA and was teacher of farooq qaiser (uncle sargam) there. She was in recently held lux awards ceremony.
Shoaib hashmi is a teacher at lahore school of economics and also taught many years in government college university lahore. Meera hashmi, their daughter was in family front.
