If anyone think that I do not like Misbah and undermining his performance than read my post. One would realize that I was with Misbah to be part of team same way as I think Fawad should be part of team (not like some people here, whose relationship is not because of performance, but some sort of personal love/hate or prejudice). Here is my post from 2007.

When Misbah name was included in the team I thought that he may have got a chance because of some connection, but when I saw that he has first class average of 50, a rarity that only top class batsmen can have, I realized that it was not that he got chance due to connection, but in reality he was kept out of the team for long time unjustly. I believe that he should have been given several chances in all sort of cricket regardless of his bad performance in few odd matches he got chance. Those that have average of 50 in first class would eventually show that in all class of cricket too.

Today Misbah is 33 years old and unfortunately he was given only 5 tests in his long cricket career, where he did not do that good, still I think that he should have been given much more chances than that. In the end, due to this nepotism, bias attitude in Pakistan, and ignorance, Pakistan lost out as Pakistan did not promoted a player that could have become match winner in test as well as other form of cricket, whereas lower capable players with ridiculous performances kept getting chances and playing all sort of cricket for Pakistan.

And after Misbah played good innings, but blown the match up in last over, still I appreciated Misbah batting, though obviously, blaming him for his last minute tantrum that caused Pakistan losing matches.

I think Misbah has some emotional problem. He is good player but go banana when few runs are left to win.

In last India Vs Pakistan group match, he played beautifully to take Pakistan from losing position to winning position, than could not manage 1 runs in last two balls.

Today against India, he did the same. Misbah played beautiful bringing Pakistan from losing position to winning position. Than gone banana when all was in hand and Paksitan needed 4 runs in 4 balls.
