No doubt Misbah is good test batsman. Anyhow, Misbah should know that a players whose SR is 72 can never make a continuous place in any respectable ODI teams. He is lucky to be from Pakistan where people do not know that a player cannot join an ODI team if his Strike rate and batting average is not compatible to ODI matches … or where other things are important more than cricket playing ability (nepotism, likes, dislikes, rushwat, tasub, parchi, etc).
Misbah batting average (43) is fine, but SR (73) is unacceptable, and worse is that he takes 25 to 30 balls to make his first 10 odd runs, that is pathetic.
Can he answer why player like Fawad whose ODI Ave (45) and SR (75) is better than Misbah was left out of team? Can he answer why he left Sarfraz in Pakistan first 4 world cup ODIs, even when he was the only proper wicket keeper in the team and he also proved himself as opener in 2014, when he opened several innings with Shahzad, making more runs than Shahzad in every inning and at better strike rate? Even in World cup, Sarfraz opened 3 inning with Shahzad and in each of them he scored more runs than Shahzad.
Can Misbah tell us that why Misbah himself (Ave 43, SR 73), Younis Khan (Ave 31, SR 75), Shahzad (Ave 34, SR 72), Harris (Ave 32, SR 76), Hafiz (Ave 31, SR 73) and others were selected in team as batsmen … but Fawad (Ave 45, SR 75) whose average and SR was better than all playing in Pakistan team as batsmen was left out? … Even in Australia, Fawad ODI Ave and SR was better than all the players I mentioned … and still he was left out, then we cry about batting and shortage of good batsmen in Pakistan? … Some said to me that Misbah never liked any player to play for Pakistan who could perform better than him, so if that is true, is that justified?
Everyone accepts that Pakistani fast bowlers as well as spinners are best of world bowlers, so why undermine batting averages of domestic cricket, when they make runs against best of world bowlers?
Even in Australian pitches, let see performance of different Pakistani players (before world cup) who were asked to play in team as batsmen. Misbah’s Test inning record is presented below (though it is easy to score in test than ODI, due to no limit of time or balls), as before world cup Misbah never played ODIs in Australia.

So, raising finger on Misbah has weight, and we should cry about nepotism, mismanagement, likes, dislikes, bribes, recommendations, order to make someone play in team, and so on … instead of what talent we have in Pakistan.
