well you have a choice between losing badly (knowing our batting Pakistan could have easily folded for 170 from 150/6 and lost by a whopping 90 runs!) and doing what Misbah did - hanging in there & getting us close but not quite knowing how to finish the game

Yet it was Misbah who saved us from humiliation in the very same final you are blaming for, Pakistan were 104/7 in 16th over, all our batsmen had gone back as their tea was getting cold

Under the strictest regime...like the one for PAF pilots...Afridi's career is practically over too...and must be grounded...I am sure...Afridi will not get better in the coming years and not wiser even...Period! :)

He should be kicked out the team forever. He is not good enough. In Pakistan there are some awesome players but because they don't have connections or are poor never get selected generally. Imran Khan should be the prime minister or the Head of PCB.

Ok that is reasonable. Unfortunately, the issue has been of trying to save a sinking ship. Misbah was brought back when Paksitan Test cricket team was in shambles. He not only steadied the team, he took it to a series win and a draw with South Africa.
As far as ODI side, I would like to see his back becuase he is better suited for the longer format.

and so was his dilemma in the SF. He is not a great finisher. He is not as wise as Lawson thinks he is. He is definitely a very good batsmen.

Misbah reminds me of Rahul Dravid. I remember watching a couple of innings of Rahul Dravid in ODIs where he was the last man standing but was unable to finish the game. These players have a good temperament for test matches, but not so much for ODIs.

btw, I have been following Afridi's comments generally after the SF and he has NOT criticized Misbah as such.. not in the way portrayed in this program.
