such a short term memory we have as a nation… here we were in February or so debating whether Misbah should be the ODI captain instead of Afridi since he had shown his calibre in the recent ODI series… and we were all appreciating his innings in the group games - esp. against SL.

Now, one game with a semi-bad performance (still, I maintain others were more at fault than him), and everyone wants his head.

At least, I am not for his head. He did not rotate strike in 42 balls. That’s 7 overs. He could have taken at least 30 singles.

At this stage, IMO, he should not be retained in the team. He is already touching 37 and it is very unlikely that he will play the next world cup. It’s time to re-organize and work on people who are more likely to play WC in 2015. Same is true for Younis
