The entire meera’s poetry was in Brajbhasha, a major dialect of Hindi spoken in mathura, agra to kannauj area. Islam was the only ideological threat that hinduism faced, introduction of Islam brought wasn’t big problem, but majority of conversions occured due to Sufism. Sikhi was a hindu reformist movement, but conversion of Ramayan, Mahabharat, from brahmin sanskrit to local dialects took place in this time period from 1500-1700 when tulsidas wrote Ramcharitmanas, Surdas wrote Sursagar regarding Krishna’s life, Raidas, Meera bai, and even a pathan muslim named Ras khan wrote about shri krishna. This movement successfully defended Hinduism, before these text, many non brahmin castes converted to Islam as they understood god through Islam while hinduism was only property of Brahmins.
