Why wasn't the existence of these thousands of years old temples ever recorded?? And they were so easily destroyed and converted
Once the non-Muslim population fled, there wasn't anyone left to maintain these temples and gurudwaras.
On the same token, there are hundreds if not thousands of pre-Partition mosques in Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal, that have since been razed or converted into temples, gurudwaras, etc. Once the Muslim population abandoned the area, there was no one left to maintain these properties, and they were taken over by other communities.
