Mind your language

My brother has downloaded 4 volumes of this British sitcom from the seventies and mid eighties
I had never heard about it till I just randomly clicked on one of the episodes.
It’s funny (in a british way) :hehe:

The series is about an english evening class for foreign students (China, France, Germany, Greece, India (both Sikh and Muslim), Italy, Japan, Pakistan, Spain and Sweden)

Does anyone know what I’m talking about?

Its ancient. But nevertheless funny. I used to watch it in the 80's

Download Fawlty Towers instead Shinz. It's one of the best sitcoms in history.

1000 appologies :D

Oh I used to love watching that show when I was a kid!!! They used to show the re-runs in Pak I think. Gosh I miss that program :(
Where did your bro download it from?

Looks like you need classes yourself too :p

^ :hehe: you just figured that out?

Femme, nuances of subtle (grammatical) humor are like totally soooo lost on you

It was one of the best shows aired on PTV in 80s along with 50/50. I remember all the episodes. So where did he downloaded it from ?

i agree with Mr Xtreme, Fawlty Towers is great, it is without doubt one of the best comedies British TV has produced, my favourite characters are Basil and Manuel, they were really good together, like a double act.

I just watched the third epidose. Still have 3.5 volumes left. This will keep me entertained for a while!

Roman and Smooth Guy, will ask my brother where he got them from and let you guys know.

I just asked, he got them from

Desitorrents

Yep I practically grew up watching them. This was one great comedy. Our entire family was "addicted" to their antics.

I found a pic.

Yep, we use to watch it on my Mamoos b&w t.v. It use to air at 9:00 pm on Thursdays. I think the paki character was Mr. Ali and his famous phrase was Blimmy or something like it...I think there was a Paki woman too who was totally paindoo.

the german guy was funny, he cant say 'w' in it..

hehe..a funny one indeed. I think there was a hindi remake of this one in India, "zabaan sambhaal ke". The original is by far the best. I remember the episode where they play "I spy"..

Dang it!! :frowning: That site takes ages on my PC to download anything! Plus if you log out of your account, it stops the download
Maybe it is available on amazon on dvd.

Oops! sorry!
Thanks Shinoo for finding out for us :)
