Millennia Chicks of Lahore

Well, if you are a Muslimah, I doubt you'd be going around flaunting your pierced belly button in public...So it's obvious it's for the husband, and if the husband doesn't like it, who are you going to show it off to? The public?

I don't know the religious perspective, but to me a belly button is kind of yucky...

So incase of ur own sister, or daughter (when u r a parent) wanting to have b-studs, or tattoos, you would not attempt to stop them? Correct :-)
Look, if I didn't think it was a good idea, I would tell them. I don't think I would force them (I can't say for certain, cuz I've never been in the position).
Seher, Please "explain" why u don't like them for urself? Something one doesn't prefers for him/herself and approves for others, clearly something is fishy about the whole deal.
Nothing fishy that I can think of --
For example, I don't think I look good in white, but it looks great on other people. Or I don't like short hair on myself, but it looks cute on other people. I don't really see a belly button ring as something that suits me (although I can imagine myself changing my mind in the future), but I don't think it's bad that other people have them.
Ur coming across as a conservative subconsciously, but trying to be tolerant so u have urself accepted liberal minded. Isn't this one form of "superficial acceptance" as well?!!!
i don't really understand what you mean by "superficial acceptance"
U are condemning this entire trend, isn't this what u
said-->* sure there are fairly annoying people (often girls) who feel the need to flaunt various parts of themselves for social acceptance *
for a more productive discussion, it might be helpful if you look at the entirety of my paragraph (or at least the sentence!). i am saying that yes there are people who like to flaunt themselves, but that doesn't mean that those are necessarily the same people who get the tattoos and piercings. you can't make generalizations about them.

Looks pretty nice to me…Shexy…:smooth:

^^ yeah becasue that looks like your average belly button piercing doesn't it, I curse and spit on your biology teacher. Woe is her.

Today the belly button…Tomorrow the body… You think human desire has bounds? Notch that up to my psychology teacher…And one more mention of my beloved biology teacher from you and I’ll carve you a new belly button…

And I can’t even imagine desi navels sporting such rings amidst the navel lint encapsulation…:heave::barf:

okay – you don’t like it. but why does that mean no one else is allowed to give it a try???

It’s true I don’t like it, but who did I stop? :konfused:

sorry – i thought you were agreeing with those posters who feel it is unIslamic or improper and should be forbidden.

… the latest trend amongst these posh girls (age group of 20’s) emerging is having pierced belly buttons and tattoos. So how “cool” is that? Most of these young ladies being from reputable families, u’d be surprised what they have in store. Do we still prefer limits to how far a girl may go for the sake of being “hip”? :)
Just curious, how did u find out about their pierced-belly? Were they showing off a people in US do (may be other Euro too) by lower jeans higher shirts? or did they tell you? or did they show it to you specifically?

Re: Re: Millennia Chicks of Lahore

I have pictures of worst...of posh families in lahore..their tommy-mommy-daddy type kids..though sorry can't show...paki lahori girls kissing, loving their danish boy friends, drinking, vomiting etc. etc. etc…the life of the rich and famous…but I agree on one thing, majority of them have some sort of connection to the west. It’s sad that the average Pakistani teen sees all this and takes their najaiz lifestyle as fashion.

Re: Re: Re: Millennia Chicks of Lahore

You know I get the kissing, the Danish boy friends, drinking e.t.c…But what the heck is with the vomitting? Are they like bulimic or pregnant or what?

You know of all the decadent behaviours, its really vomitting that gets my goat…Damn mommy-daddy kids…

Re: Re: Re: Re: Millennia Chicks of Lahore

Its alcohol bro the alcohol…damn the girls out did the guys when it came to that…anyways…I think all the fun is now days back home in Pakistan.

Danish boys are gay

:rotfl:
so does that explain why the girls were vomiting?

Sahar….. for the umpteenth time, lets get this straight. I AM TALKING ABOUT PPL THAT FLAUNT THEMSELVES WITH TATTOOS AND BELLY BUTTON PIERCING concisely (and that is specifically just b-b piercing, because that comes across as a vulgar display of ill morality. So be precise about that first off!!!). NO side tracking off topic here.

(Sahar says to Lajawab)
sorry -- i thought you were agreeing with those posters who feel it is unIslamic or improper and should be forbidden.
Sahar, since when has anyone uttered the forbidden words *“ÜNISLAMIC” *in this thread??? Other than u giving such a fatwa, no other participant has made such proclamations! Oh and if u talk about improper, than before accusing another of it, don’t u have a problem with drinking and *flaunting*oneself in public??!! So, don’t contradict ur own self yar.

Babe, there is no discussion based here on the hypothesis of,“l will cross the bridge when I get there.” You either are completely sure about something or you are not. Its just plain as that, and the more u put urself in a “to be or not to be” position, u just come across as a very lost and confused guppie. Enuf said!!!

Hi Hiccup (nice icon)… Well lets say, that rather those girls were flaunting their studs in my face. Btw I hope the word flaunting isn’t too chic for your level of comprehension at this decaying age of your time.

Indeed that is the dismaying fact! Consequently: the miraculous birth of this thread.
BTW just because the “girls” have been highlighted specifically in this thread doesn’t imply this thread is exclusively for chicks and since when does the word “YOUTHS” stand for girls only???

** LAJAWAB**, u’ve made a superb splash in this thread! I’m pleased to discover, that at least someone has the guts to express their true feeling regarding this trend. Either they like it or not, they should plain right out say it, rather than going in an infinite loop of uncertainty like some ppl we know.

**Dhulfiqar**

If that’s so then lets hear where you are from?! The point really is not just Lahore, the entire state of Pakistan is diseased with this fad. The only paradox is that in low key cities its done under the covers or either ppl don’t acknowledge themselves of what goes on under their noses. Trust me, ignorance is a bliss indeed!

Did Sultan attended to ur curiosity or need I say more dear?

Sultan
Thank God! My prayers have been answered. Nice to have u contribute. I need not to elaborate to at least one person, who knows the stride of these mommy_daddy, wanna bees, confused, lost, going through an identity crises type (the list goes on as we both know) desi bunch

babe babe babe, Baby baby baby, sweetness, my love retard, camp git. (take your pick) Tamer,

You, are so original it's surprising that they let you out, I hear they keep special camels in secure units. But reguardless, I hope you understand, youths are not renowned for their perception, nor their astuteness. Back to the almighty rightness of your postings and disecting.
Dear heart. (a la later of my manner of addressings at top) you have not provided any reason why that these girls should not do what they are doing, true fashionwise they may not be "there" but lets be honest, which desi paki really is?

You want complete condemnation of these girls "youths" "young stallions" desires to seem cool, "chic" "with it"? I assure you its not confined to the seemingly damned sub-continent, namely Lahore, visit any middle-class suburb and you will be astounded by the identity crisis.

These people have a complex. No amount of whining will fix that, so far as they believe the west to superior they will immitate, the question begging to be asked is that a personal fault or a default of the phychee coming from greener fields the other side of the bridge.

Priorities in order, first things first, who gives a damn, and how exactly were they flaunting. Be nice now, I'm literally falling to bits in my decaying.
