Mike Tyson to perform Umrah

Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson holds talks with Dr. Muhammad Al-Oqala, president of the Islamic University in Madinah.
MADINAH: Former boxing champion Mike Tyson, who embraced Islam while serving a prison sentence in the 1990s, is on his first visit to the Kingdom to perform Umrah. He arrived in the holy city of Madinah on Friday to perform prayers at the Prophet’s Mosque.
While in Madinah, Tyson met Dr. Muhammad Al-Oqala, president of the Islamic University, who briefed the world heavyweight champion on the services being rendered by the university to students from across the world.
From Madinah, Tyson will travel on to Makkah to perform Umrah, press reports said. He will also visit Jeddah, Abha and Riyadh as part of his Saudi tour. His visit to Saudi Arabia was arranged by the Canadian Dawa Association (CDA) as part of visits it organizes for new Muslim celebrities to the Islamic sites in the Kingdom. Shazad Mohammed, president of CDA, was present at Prince Muhammad International Airport in Madinah to receive Tyson.
Mohammed, an ambassador of peace with the United Nations, said Tyson would be in the Kingdom for one week, visiting the holy places as well as important landmarks in the country and meeting with Saudi people to get to know their culture and traditions.

Tyson is an honest man. Have you seen the documentary called “Tyson” from 08? He admits that he has done many wrong things in his life, but rape wasn’t one of them and I believe him. Back then he was the champ, he didn’t have to rape any girl. Girls would have raped him to get his babies and $$$.
About the ear biting. I ask you to watch that fight. Most people didn’t even watch that fight and only know the ear biting thing from the biased media. If you would have watched the fight, you would have known that Tyson only reacted out of his instincts, and that after three headbutts from Holyfield. Holyfield is quite famous for delivering headbutts during fights, which is ofcourse illegal.
This is Mr. “Headbutt” Holyfield in action, with a low blow at that.
Tyson even apologized to Holyfield, even though he didn’t have to IMO.
I’m glad that Mike lost that gut. Looks like an athlete again.
Beduin women from North Africa have face tattoos. Some Berber men from North Africa and some Arabs from Jordan have face, arm and hand tattoos. How come such people are allowed to perform Hajj and Mike Tyson shouldn't be allowed?
What about converts in general who might have tattoos from the past, shouldn't they get the opurtunity to perform Umrah or Hajj?
How about the tattoo on his face how come saudis gave him visa i thought according to many people tattoos are haram?
^ I agree as i said 'some people' object to having tattoos. There is a whole debate about tattoos being allowed in Islam etc Sometimes saudi mutawas (religious police) stop and scold you if you are wearing t-shirt with pictures etc I was referring to such people...
