ok so i made the cake ... tasted it from sides... its not bad at all.. its brownie cake ure rite!!!! but mine took longer than 10 mins cus it was still undercooked i guess from the top so i put for another 3 mins or more.. its a slightly small cake but wot the hell isnt it the thought that counts :) will send the pic in a min.
it looks great, soft and fluffy! I am sure it tastes great too. You can dress it with icing.. it’s for a kid right. I think she’ll like it with icing.
p.s: it’s not ugly at all.. now that i’ve had both chocolate and plain one I think the chocolate one tastes better.. so don’t worry.. just put some icing around the border maybe..

u know I didn't have a working oven for like...forever, til just recently.
It really opens up cooking for you .
also, if ure serious about baking, electric mixers will make your life a million times easier. Not sure about where you are, but here (in US) they cost $10 and up.

hey thx sara :) i m married since 4 yrs and still dun have one.. so i m in the same boat as u :P but it still din deter me to finally make a cake. electric mixers... hmm.. dunno but am sure they mst be abt 60 dhs plus or more. i will only buy one when hubs atleast buys a separate oven for me in which i can bake/grill
nope you can't put aluminum or any metal for matter in microwave, as far as I know.
I've seen this on cooking shows: after brushing your dish with butter/oil just dust it with some plain flour and then put the batter in, helps the cake come out easily. Also check the Sticky Baking guide thread, although it is baking in oven related but you may find some good tips..
Good luck =)
latest technology u can get microwavable foil in supermarkets look on the shelf it will be ther double the price.
