Re: Mermaid Lengha with Train

is a mermaid lengha the same as fishtail style?

Re: Mermaid Lengha with Train

Lipstick im not sure, can anyone else answer this question?

Re: Mermaid Lengha with Train

yup

not the colour u wanted, but it gives u an idea of the style with a train

Re: Mermaid Lengha with Train

See this is what I'm talking about, why is the train so flat?

Re: Mermaid Lengha with Train

probably cos the material is heavy and on top of that it has kaam as well which flattens it down

Sugar, all trains are flat. Look at these western dresses for example.

The only reason the train seems to have ummf to it is because the actual dress part is puffy with layers and layers of satin, net etc to it gives the illusion of a slightly different trail. Look closely its exactly like the length trails.

Re: Mermaid Lengha with Train

I wouldn't personally get a train on my lengha unless its slightly puffy. For example that red one looks ridiculous with a train.

Re: Mermaid Lengha with Train

Yeah that's what im saying lol. Sorry I phrased it incorrectly. The actual skirt is flat, but alo you can have that scruncy material as the train which makes it look less flat. Has anyone ever done that with a lengha?

Re: Mermaid Lengha with Train

I actually had this split into two lenghas :D

My bridal was a mermaid style and the walima one was with a trail but not fitted mermaid style.... :D

pictures please choozy!! ;)

do u think u can ever rewear it? or get it altered hmmm?

Re: Mermaid Lengha with Train

i honestly don't like mermaid style, it makes your body figure too prominent

Re: Mermaid Lengha with Train

some advice, if you are getting custom made outfit with a train, i highly recommend you ask the designer to see if they can make the train detachable.
Trains are elegant but they often are stepped on and cause much trouble. Also, after ur wedding you can wear the outfit over again without dragging a train along

My registry outfit was a fishtail with a trail and my wedding was a shararah with a trail. On the wedding day my sharah was stepped on quite a bit (especially by my poor MIL) but it's the only time you'll be able to wear a trail and be the princess you always wanted to be so i think you should go all out and get it made if that's what you want :)
