You can call “religious minorities to wear a scarlet letter” as harassment/oppression of minority if you want but not “insult” of the religion. You are definitely mixing things up.

A simple cartoon/image may be okay, but when you show it as ‘terrorist’ type cartoon and then to say it has nothing to with religion? Now YOUR priorities are definitely screwed up.

It is MUCH more insulting to a religion to harass/oppress the followers than to draw a cartoon of an idol. ONLY in your mind is it not an insult to the religion. Others don't see cartoon depictions as an insult either. To those people their religion is as correct and God-ordained to them as yours is to you. If Demark was putting orange stars on Muslims, I would be protesting too.

You can say whatever you want and try to appease your fanatical wing. You can say the world is against Islam, Muslims are unter attack, everything is the fault of Hindus, Jews, Christians, and Bhudists. Perhaps it helps with the ostrich syndrome that the Muslim world is suffering and help not having take responsibility.
However captain Sahib, the rest of the world won't care.
What they see and hear are people like Abu Hamza and Abu Laban. They see Muslims blowing themselves up in London, in Indonesia, and Russia. Blowing things up in Spain. Beheading people. Raping women in the name of Islam in the Philippines. Killing movie makers in Europe. Rioting in France.
Captain ji, you can call it whatever you want. The rest of the world calls it Islamic terrorism. Until the Islamic world tries to correct that image.....it desn't matter Muslims say.

No it means terrorists use their interpretation of Islam and Muhammed's teachings to justify their acts. Blame them. You can't expect the world to turn a blind eye to this fact, especially in light of the LACK of protests over these terrorists actions.

To all Muslim Guppies, you are refusing to accept that there is a non-Islamic world. You impose Islam on them, when you are in majority, most of the time by creating a Islamic Republic.. But whenever these other non-islamic entities do anything that even touches Islam even slightly you just flare up and get violent.
I believe that Muslims are most pained and prosecuted religion today. Most of them by own brothers and mostly due to intolerant policies......

Its clear to everyone that these cartoons are deliberate insult to islam does’nt matter if you are the most moderate of muslims whatever that means or to the muslim who is in the mosque 24/7 everyone was shocked by this and in a way it was a wake up call, the west with their actions in iraq, afghanistan, guntanamo bay, occupied palestine and incidents like this have done what the islamists could’nt achive in 50 years of publicity against the western imperialists.

Not just reaction, but violence.
On NPR this morning, there were more interviews of Danes and Danish politicians. They all felt betrayed by their Muslim immigrant population. They feel like Muslims are not capable of integrating into Danish society. They, liberal and consservative alike, are calling for tougher laws for immigration and citizenship. I suspect this will happen throughout Europe. It seems Europe is now learning why the US finger prints men from Islamic countries.

If Muslim troops are sitting in Colorado or Nebraska and Muslim leaders speak openly of eradicating Christian Fundamentalism and cartoons depicting Jesus as child molestor would the West realize the open wounds of the Ummah. Were the reactions good? No, but they were passionate because people feel like their faith is being ridiculed and faith is the basis for identity for most Muslims.
BTW this is not an issue of whether the Prophet was depicted, it is of double standards and hate speech.
