I dont think he personally disgraced a nation, I think the Pakistani army was definetely involved, that is one of the reasons that Mushie doesnt wanna give up Khakis. Otherwise a pandoras box will open.

One more reason from Mush hang on . With all the sanctions after the nuclear testing they had to get funds from somewhere. NAB did have AQ's name on top of the list of the most corrupt. ISI did'nt want him touched.

It was a state run operation period, the scale at which the operation was conducted could not have been one guy.
Israel and Pakistan both need the bomb for strategic deterrence (thats the party line from both the states). One needs from Arabs (a real threat) and the other from Indians (which is a perceived threat BTW).

As for the nukes, the military imbalance is too much for Pakistan to make a lasting stand in case of war. Hours, maybe few days at the most.
As for AQ, just a Qurbani ka Baqra. More than what meets the eye.

First everyone called AQKhan a hero ...as soon as Uncle Sam said he is a criminal, now everyone knows he is worse than scum. What a bunch of sheep!
Anyway in this case, instead just focussing on AQKhan I hope we'll all have sense to look at the entire Pakistan establishment that let these thugs get away with it and in fact, encouraged the crime.
