hmm I think it started back in '42. American heroes proliferated the secrets and people from the evil nazis, then the evil commies proliferated it from the american heroes, then the valiant brits proliferated it from the american heroes who in turn had it proliferated by the garlicy french. The chinese then too did some of their own proliferation. Then the evil/heroes of SA and Isreal proliferated before the Indians got into the proliferation game. So now Pakistan after having proliferated secrets for themselves proliferate and we get to the cover of time?
Looking forward to the Iranian and N korean proliferation and beyond.
The manhattan project sounded cool but not as cool as the pyongyang project.

As far as calling him a common criminal is concerned, those off us know that have had an opportuinity to live in Pakiland and are a little familiar with AQ Khan's activities should be allowed to be heard. This is the same AQ Khan that was/is involved with local land mafia(patwaris/tehsildars and Qabza Groups) etc. This is the same AQ khan that had an NGO and squandered money from the different organization's and govt's in the name of his NGO for his personal benifit. This is the same AQ Khan that was known for taking money for "safarishes" etc. He's also know for" Amassing wealth beyond known sources of Income". Just a Common Criminal.
As far as his the selling Nuke Tech. to other countries, one can be sure at the behest of the ISI he did. Someone had to take a fall. So it was him. The "escape goat."

The biggest reason why there is so much hatred, which had been brewing and has come to surface in the aftermath of this supposed proliferation fiasco, is the fact that he is a urdu speaking mohajir. A lot of folks just cant digest the fact that he is what he is and highly successful and affluent.
And somebody's old age is definitely catching upto them -- "India a percieved threat and casterated a real threat" -- When was the last time arabs mobilized their armies and marched them to their borders to invade Israel? While Bhindia has done it several times in the past six years.....

Dear Editor,
Your publication in the February 14th, 2005 issue, has taken character assassination and white washing to a whole new extreme. Granted AQ Khan had proliferated nuclear technology, but to make a caricature of the man to resemble Hitler on your cover was truly in poor taste. I as an American of Pakistani origin found it to be highly offensive. He is still a hero to millions of Pakistanis and his efforts are truly lauded within Pakistan, considering the perennial arms embargoes US imposed on Pakistan after using every so often. His proliferation efforts whilst the latest arms and economic embargo on Pakistan (prior to 9/11 and the new found US need of Pakistan’s assistance) were undertaken to not only earn hard cash to feed the 150 million citizens of the country, but to bolster its defenses through the acquisition of ballistic missiles against a giant adversary, India. And to pretend that the whole state apparatus was not behind this effort is at best highly naïve.

Che thanks for highlighting that he was a Mohajir, I knew someting was up. If he would have been a Punjabi or a Pathan (like myself, 50-50). He would not have sold his country like the namak haram Mohajirs. Now I hate him even more, Initially I thought that ISI, The gov’t of Pakistan and the military were involved, but after your highlighting the fact, I am certain that the prick acted alone. Shame on him and the mohajirs, true colors are showing up.

Coming from somebody who is striken with an identity crisis, not sure if you are a chopaya or a Pathan -- Pathan perhaps to overcompensate for the inherent deficiencies in being a dugga, besides its just cool to say I am half pathan or my forefathers came from Afghanistan (had no ideal you had the same inferiority complexes as the rest of the lot) -- it is rather ironic, more so when AQ Khan, being a full blooded pathan himself, who happened to reverse migrate from Pathan enclaves of what is now India, Tonk, Rampur, Qusoor, and etc. like so many of his clansmen did after the partition would have more of a reason to despise your ilk for their disingenious attempts to pass themselves as his fellow Pukhtoon (Pathan is a misnomer for all of you linguistically challenged, i.e. punjabi speakers and wannabe pukhtoons).
Plus you've quite ably demonstrated your ethnocentric and bigoted credentials yet another time.

No problem I aim to please. A question however; are you the geneologist for AQ khan? I know the proliferator is a hero didnt know that 'Americans of Pakistani Descent' would have their heads stuck up a traitors ass so high that they know the exact genetic makeup. Are they teaching AQs genetics in madrassahs nowadays.
P.S You dont happen to know the exact time when AQs parents had sex, RAW is into these stars and angles and stuff, they wanted to know so they can fix the trajectory of their missles.

I'm not sure what good the ethnic make up of a soul would have to do with this discussion. Although I understand the Paki nature of us all. We all hate each other from the north to south and east to west. We are a nation that face an inferiority complex among many others. Truth is something we just can't handle. Lets leave the finger pointing and name calling to the Jahils. Re: post no 25.
AQ was a common criminal long before his now known more famous escapades were brought to the fore front.

50-50 Pathan, the closest your ilk would come to being a pathan would be whats reserved for Tajik men and described above, did’nt know pathan’s took on a liking for the four legged type as well.

But its ok getting back to the proliferation issue. AQ and Pakistan should come out and admit openly that they are wrong rather than hiding and covering it up with one lie after the other.
