yeah..i love the saltiness with the pista and the richness of the chai....mom makes the most beautiful pink colored chai...and i get to drink the entire gallon :)

yes i’m sure the one’s they serve at your average wedding aren’t as good as authentic as when a Kashmiri makes 'em… Kashmiri chai got really fashionable back when food was banned and ppl figured its better to serve chai then bootals in winter

chanda, thats an awesome menu, so different and unique as compared to the usual biryani and all. You gotta have your mom share some traditional kashimiri dish recipes :D

I agree! Wud love to learn a couple.. =) I want hot jalebi's at my wedding.. I don't care abt the main course LOL!

Though I think you need to add gushtaba to the menu...what Kashmiri wedding is complete without it? :)

we did consider it....it was either pasande or gushtaba....we went with pasande :)

What's gushtaba? We're having stalls at our mehndi..puri-wala's, mithai-wala's..paan/chai wala..jalebi..kababs..etc.
And Arabic and Pakistani food for the shaadi Inshallah..

Kiya karein, both of us are creative ;) yeah we're also having churi'wali's and mehndi wali's..flower-wali's..more of a "mela" theme. Second mehndi is in Dubai..and totally Arabic =) tents, sheesha..etc

Wow thats nice...this is the new trend na the stalls n all but i have yet to see one where everything is very organized...hope yrs is like that...good luck all the way :).
p.s have a paan wala too...hehe its nice 2 have paans on shaadiz :D but they mite ruin the else pretty lukin lady by giving them red teeth ;)
