I have always believed that for any nation to thrive and establish itself, its people must come together…And in a nation of millions of people, the only way that is possible is if people learn to tolerate each other…
As long as the sanctity and respect of the beliefs of others are respected, any national of any country should have the ability to express themself any which way they want without disrespect to anything and for the dissenters to oppose that view without disrespect…
Ad hominem arguments are niether respected nor accepted in any civilised argument…Only stronger logic or a case is a criteria for making any point…
I remember the poet Abu Nawas, a gay wine drinking man, who lived under the very nose of the Usmani Khalifa in the times when the Muslims were at their peak…Islamic Shariah was enforced strongly and Muslims followed their faith to the letter with their hearts…
So how is it, that under the Khilafat, under Shariah, a man can be allowed to extol his love for boys and the virtues of drinking and be known for that poetry in the Muslim world and not be ostracised and ridiculed for it?
I believe it had to do with faith…The more stronger the faith and beliefs, the more tolerant and open-minded a person is…The less faith there is, the less tolerant a person would be…It is only the weak of faith that fear losing their spirituality…The wise and knowledgable are rarely angered…
In my thread about lesbianism, KAKA along with a few, wrote some pretty nasty things about me…Insulting and abusive they were, but without substance…Funny thing was, all those came from the very people who think bad of Mullahs, consider the Mullahs intolerant and wish to ‘modernise’ Islam…To their intolerant version…Tolerant to the Kuffar, intolerant to the Muslims themselves…
Hundereds of years ago, scholars of Islam were writing books on Islamic sex and how to increase satisfaction of one’s desire legitimately…No doubt, some very bizarre and strange things must have come up…But, they were accepted or at least argued over and either accepted or refuted…Today, those scholars would have been strung for their views…
So, the question arises…You, are not religiously tolerant, meaning nothing that you disagree with can be brought before you because you can’t take it…
All your years of education has not made you tolerant that nothing that you disagree with can be brought before you because you can’t take it…
So what does that make you?
So, since you can’t form a legible argument, can’t present your case amicably, cannot tolerate opposing view, judge people based on questions they may have then where the heck is your intellect?
If, being a Muslim and being educated doesn’t give you enough intellect to be tolerant, then that makes you nothing more than an ignorant fool…Whose anger burns and churns inside him but makes no movement in the spirit…
