Mental Beauty vs. Physical Beauty...

Re: Mental Beauty vs. Physical Beauty...

Whoever thinks that looks alone can take you far is living in a lala land. If that were the case, Pindanda and I will be billionaires.

Re: Mental Beauty vs. Physical Beauty...

err.. madhanee it's precisely the reason you're a not billionaires.

Re: Mental Beauty vs. Physical Beauty...

Mental Beauty vs. Physical Beauty?

Its not about which is better, but rather how well people are able to combine them both. We need to be healthy mentally AND physically. You can have just one or the other, but together they cry out "success" . :p

I do notice that too often people are hung up on physical looks. There are some things one can work with - extra weight , they need to work out - bad skin, they need to see a skin doc. But sometimes those who have eating disorders might not be able to work around their issues, so they are not exactly to blame. I guess all in all those who try to help themselves - mentally and physically are well off than those who dont bother. Sadly there are some who cant help themselves nor can be helped.

Re: Mental Beauty vs. Physical Beauty…

Lajwanti…it is ok to be fat, ugly and stupid…god made you that way. try to sell your other attributes…I believe in you. :k:

Re: Mental Beauty vs. Physical Beauty...

1) a fat person might not be ugly or stupid
2) an ugly person might not be fat nor stupid
3) a stupid person might not be fat nor ugly.

they could be all or none, depending on who is doing the judging. Thats the beauty of personal opinions.
:p

Re: Mental Beauty vs. Physical Beauty...

Sarah: As a fat person, I would like to speak out against your blatent discrimination as a libel against my sect. ala Amy.

You are talking not sense.

Re: Mental Beauty vs. Physical Beauty...

I think someone who is 'mentally beautiful' will have sense enough to take care of her 'physical beauty' as well. So you can have both! Plus 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'.

Re: Mental Beauty vs. Physical Beauty...

The question in the original post is begging and demanding to look at the diction and what it implies.

It was asked which one is Better, not: which is Not Necessary ...

hence, most of the discussion is off the tangent already.

Mental Beauty is always better than Physical. Physical one however is an extra credit for which most of the credit goes to the creator. :-)

At the end, it's the soul of an individual which is no better than any other soul. Every soul is of same shape and form (if there is any for it is made of light) ... it's a beautiful mind that makes the appearence of a person beautiful as they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Re: Mental Beauty vs. Physical Beauty…

somehow I didn’t expect such ‘short sightedness’ from you Sarah hmm…

Re: Mental Beauty vs. Physical Beauty...

Lajo the hypocrite:

And I too would prefer an intellectualy gifted partner over Aishwariya anyday...But it wouldn't hurt if she looked like Priyanka Chopra either...

Isn't it haraam to be lusting after hindu pagan women, lajawab?

Sarah the...okay I wont go there:

Not necessarily. When I was a kid, I never looked after my face. I actually had really bad skin acne. Never overweight, really. (well, now I would like to lose exactly 10 lbs over the summer, but I wouldn't call myself obese seriously - only in jest). But I was actually the opposite - very skinny and anorexic-looking. I dont think I was a slob or anything like that - if anything, I was so absorbed in my work, or books, or tv or playing with friends, or being involved in school, that I never really had time in the morning to really make myself up - nor did I know how to.

I'm actually still not totally clear on what a pedicure is, and how it is done...

shrugs its the kind of stuff that never mattered to me. I knew that I was a good kid, and that I did stuff well if I put myself into it. And that's all that ever really mattered to me.

Re: Mental Beauty vs. Physical Beauty…

^^

Hey, you have to give credit where credit is due…If someone is pretty, you tell them they are pretty…So what if Priyanka Chopra is a pagan…Does that make her less desirable? True, she may have done things unIslamic, but I am not judging her on that…

Ash and Priyanka are very slick looking pagan ladies…:nono4:

Re: Mental Beauty vs. Physical Beauty...

which is why you are a hypocrite. If you really loved God, then you would not admire the one who rejects God.

:)

Only trying to point out a glitch in your theories on religion.

Allah ki banai huwi cheez ki ta'reef karna gunaah hai? :D

Re: Mental Beauty vs. Physical Beauty...

Well if you think women are pieces of meat and you think that's an Islamically condoned idea.

Oh right, but what to expect from someone that sees themselves as a piece of meat?
