Re: Men - would you lie about your past if questioned?
Nope would not lie
Re: Men - would you lie about your past if questioned?
Would you volunteer information?
Re: Men - would you lie about your past if questioned?
No i wouldn’t lie. There is no reason to. Tell positives as well as negatives…of what happened and let her decide. And that is the best way.
Re: Men - would you lie about your past if questioned?
Yeah I would. I’d rather her know up front rather than her finding out after marriage because those stories or rumors or whatever somehow always do end up making their way back. I want my relationship to be based on trust, not hiding and lying regardless of how difficult the conversation may be. My conscience will be clear also.
Re: Men - would you lie about your past if questioned?
I would tell but not in first meeting. I would tell when i see that there is trust in the relationship and there is chance that she can listen to me - otherwise, I don’t even see a future so why not make another story with her
so that i can tell someone in the future.
Re: Men - would you lie about your past if questioned?
Yeah def not on first meeting, no need to discuss past with every single potential ristha..once there is an established relationship and trust but long before any major decisions like engagement or actual shaadi
Re: Men - would you lie about your past if questioned?
Yes, I would. Not too much though.
Re: Men - would you lie about your past if questioned?
Lie, no. Reveal, no. Would make her sign non-disclosure first before I reveal anything!
Re: Men - would you lie about your past if questioned?
Sure. Especially if going the arranged route.
Re: Men - would you lie about your past if questioned?
The irony of the 2 threads, oh lord.
Re: Men - would you lie about your past if questioned?
People stop having a past. Simple.
Re: Men - would you lie about your past if questioned?
Thou shall not take the Lord’s name in vain.
And if thou do, may thou use capitalization.
Re: Men - would you lie about your past if questioned?
What is this obsession with everyone’s past? If you didn’t know someone in the past, why is it any of your concern what their past was like? As long as a guy is 100% committed to me here and now, and not a murderer/pedophile/repeated criminal offender, etc, I don’t care. I would, in a way to get to know him, want to know if he had a major relationship, because those sort of things do affect you. But I wouldn’t badger him for the info, and would rather hope that one day he trusts me enough to divulge that information himself, when he’s ready.
All the people who define sharafat as never having set eyes on another person until marriage to S/O… I cannot stress how stupid that outlook is, for both and women. Whether a few past serious rishtas, or a committed relationship that did not work out for one reason or another… these things do not take away from anyone’s “sharafat”. No one willingly gets involved with someone in a serious relationship and hopes for it to fall apart. I’ve heard so many cases where people are uncomfortable with facts like these and deny rishtas. If it was up to people, we would fall in love with and marry the first person that came our way, but life rarely works like that. It is not fun to go through person after person until you meet the “one”, but it’s how it works. To think you are the first person in a potential rishta’s life is incredibly naive.
Re: Men - would you lie about your past if questioned?
Whats the point of asking same thing over & over again reha aunty?
Re: Men - would you lie about your past if questioned?
This thread was a response to my thread where I asked girls if they would lie about their past. The girls got offended and instead of answering my question, created a rival thread thinking it would offend us guys, so typical. But almost none of the guys seem to have gotten offended and are replying to the thread and contributing to the discussion. My thread was not meant to be offensive, im a guy so I genuinely wanted to hear the female perspective and their mindset but whatever I got my answer just from their reaction haha
