…is part of their motivation the desire to “boast/brag” about the beautiful woman they’ve married? And doesn’t that mean that these men want other men to look at their wife and to lust after/desire her?

if other men ‘desire her’ because of the beauty, give our man some credit for actually marrying her to fulfill his desires.
