There aren’t more women if you look at the stats.. I think it just seems that way because most of our girls are basically waiting around to be asked and don’t generally go out looking or have as much opportunity as the men do to mingle with the opp gender.. less chance or opportunity = more panic.. There are other factors such as guys going back home to marry, parents being very firm on a certain ethnicity, race, caste when they’re already only like 2% of the population abroad (if that) and so on as well.. If your pool of potentials is small why make it even smaller? It’s something I’ve never been able to get my head around and the guys usually have a bit more leeway in that respect as well..
Think about when you were a kid.. Did you notice a much higher number of desi girls than boys? I’m guessing not.. The numbers are the same but the other stuff make it seem like there’s an imbalance..
