rest assured RV, my observation has been in Pakistan that the girls who make noise about not marrying a guy who could marry or has married another girl end up being 2nd, 3rd, 4th wife. My childhood acquitance who studied from the Murray College(Sialkot) came to the US for studies and I learnt just a month ago that she got married to an Egyptian guy who is already married twice (one to an Egyptian in Egypt and another a gori in the US), is 18 years older than her and has two kids(both studying in Egypt). But she must have taken decision willingly. Girls on this forum might end up like my college mate- but its okay!

This is how a True Muslim follows his religion !! This should answer all the aunties who were jumping on my thread becos of my thoughts !! You have to accept the fact about the islamic rules no matter how screwed up it is !!

That is the whole point about this thread that if allah made fun rules for man then what abt women. That is what we are trying to discuss or investigate. Sorry all the my muslim brothers and sisters, I feel Allah never wanted to differentiate between men and women, but all of our prophets till date have been men (Moses/Jesus/Mohammed) and they wanted Men to rule the world and backed them with Allahs words. The more the rules favoured men and satisfied their carnal desires, the more people followed religion. That’s what I think, and I do not mean to offend anyone or any religion. So, I feel that we should use our commonsense and repect women with respect, equivality and dignity instead of backing our deeds and acttion with ALLAH;s words !!

In US 2 of my cousins got married, as she was going to have a baby her hubby cheated on her, so she got divorce then married to another single boy, now she is living happily with 2nd husband and her son from ex hubby.
Her ex hubby which is also first cousin is very ashamed and regrets.

yes women are weaker than men in many aspects . like physically emotionally etc. therefore they needed some care all the times .

the reason for four marriages was if a man can equally can take care of four women then he can marry four of them.

other reasons were many i will list down a few

1. women were unable to earn for themselves
2. they always needed social security
   3)widowed were looked upon as subject to harrasment and abuse

and many more

nahin, there's nothing I can add. I have already written a lot on this topic in the Multiple wives forum. Having many wives is fine as long as you can treat them equal. I have met lot of ppl in Pakistan who are happy with that kind of arrangement.

I hope you both have multiple mothers and your husbands have multiple wifes. I still wonder why other people in this forum does not support UR theory !! Your theory sounds good but then why stop at only four, why not have 400. Is four a magic number !!
