Sheyn one reason that Men allow their parents to pick their spouse is because many of them just don’t have time to look on their own. They are either busy with studies or too focused on their careers.
Another reason may be that they just dont have a preference. Perhaps they do not know what to look for in a suitable spouse. If they do have a preference, perhaps they have already told their moms about it and their moms are keeping those preferences in mind.
Also sheyn…some men may feel that by looking on their own they may end up committing acts of sin so in order to avoid that they look to other people (most likely their parents) to do the searching.
whatever the reason may be…there is nothing wrong with a man (or a woman for that matter) to ask their parents to find a suitable partner for them.
just because marriages are arranged and they are married “til death do us part” does not mean they are successful/happy marriages.
