Re: Men and their wandering eyes

ok so someone has brought non-muslim (namely african) americans into the picture -- since there's nothing in non-muslim american culture to say it's sinful for, say, a non-muslim woman to wear a tank top and shorts, would you still say that woman has no right to complain if a man treats her badly for the way she's dressed?

your answer should be she DOES have a right to complain. in that culture women dress that way if it's hot out, and it's considered appropriate, AND for men to leer is considered INAPPROPRIATE.

so, what -- are you saying muslim women have less rights, then?

terrible responses here with this "pot vs kettle" answer!! very disgusted.

Re: Men and their wandering eyes

Something I posted in my journal a while ago...

** Just because I am dressed this way, doesn't make me a whore: Many guys will agree with me. You are standing with your friends and this one girl passes by who looks GOOD and I don't mean she is pretty but her dress leaves no imagination in your mind (This includes many Pakistani girls as well).
You want to say something smooth or smart but all comes out of your mouth is "DAMN! Look at that A**" and she turns around with anger and goes "Excuse me! Just because I am dress this way doesn't mean I am a whore!"

And you know what she is right... Guys, always remember: Just because she is dressed this way doesn't make her a whore.

But ladies, you gotta understand one thing. This is confusing to us guys.
It's like me, Mesum Norat a salesman, wear a police uniform and start walking in the middle of downtown of Chicago and God forbits someone comes to me running and says "Oh thank God officer, we need your help really bad, please come with me right away!"
I look at him and say "Excuse me! Just becuase I am dressed this way, doesn't mean I am a cop!"**

Re: Men and their wandering eyes

^ :konfused: ur comparing uniform to a persons daily dress sense.. two different things (me thinks)

Re: Men and their wandering eyes

Some Beasts(or should I call them men), they just wait for a women to pass by. Its their own frustration/lust which makes them say crude remarks. They justify it in their mind-by saying she asked for it.
Women dress well to feel good-not to be abused/oogled/touched by these perverts!!!
