Has anybody watched this movie yet? I read the book earlier this year and was quite looking forward to watching the movie. They did a really good job, although I don’t think the lead actress deserves an award for her acting. They only made minor changes and did leave out some parts, but I guess that was to be expected.

Who has seen it? What did you think?

I loved the book and the movie although not as good was done quite well. I say go watch it if you haven't already.

I watched it last weekend, and I think it does do some justice to the book, books are always better, but the way they made it is really good. its definately worth watching :)

uff can't wait to see it. Although, I'm finding it is much cheaper to wait till holiday sales to get the DVD for like 10 bucks or less. Cheaper than a whole family going to see it in the theatre.

I saw it guys. It was fantastic ! Starts off a bit slow but half way through the story really catches on..
Ziyi Zhang and Ken Watanabe’s acting was just fantastic. By the way, he’s gorgeous ! :love:

Both acted beautifully. Music and cinematography was wonderful.

I've read the book like 3 times so will definitely watch the movie ... although it should have been in Japanese, not English, and they used a Chinese actress for the lead role.

Ken Wattanabe is a superb actor. He made Tom Cruise look like a newbie in Last Samurai.

I hate when there is a good book - and a good movie comes out for it.
I am not reading Da Vinci Code (read first chapter - v.catchy, easy read and intresting) - because Tom Hank is coming out in this movie next year.

Although the movie comes nowhere near the book I did enjoy watching it. Mainly because it was so much fun having real faces with the names. I loved all the leading ladies (Mameha, Hatsumumo and Sayuri). Book is way more detailed and exiting, and they did change the storyline here and there in the movie.
Definitely a must watch :k:

The movie was nothing compared to the book, I could not put it down. I felt the movie lacked a lot of emotions and the lead actress was not that good.
