any suggestions for a venue for a mehndi function in lahore for no more than 50-70 people?

i was thinking of renting a plot in defense near the house and getting tents and caterers but the wedding is in july and i am afraid the heat would be brutal.

my house does not have enough space (the lawn is small, and there would be a lot of guests indoors, so indoors would be inappropriate)…

for such a small gathering, you mite as well rent or us a plot near yr place! the heat wl be brutal but u can alwayz use air-conditioned tents :). plus the gathring is small and there is no use of giving so much money for halls...but u may check with them.

this might be a little strange to hear..but i went to a mehndi which was set up on the roof of a house in pakistan. they had a tent set up with heaters, chairs, tables for food, and a little stage for the bride and dolkhi/dances. it looked very nice and cute. the set up for men from family was downstairs outside.

you are right, the heat will be brutal in july..but these mehndi functions are at night and usually start late anyways..maybe it will be a little cooler by that time. in your case you can add fans/ac in the tent also

You know you cant use loud music in defence... so if ur thinking of a mehendi in defence.... it's just a risk. I'm also trying to find a place for aroud 250-300 people. Defence was the priority but no willing to take the risk now. Best of luck to u

I dnt think heating would be a problem because these days air conditioning facility in tents is available, I would rather worry about Baarish :eek:

Baarish.... thats no issue... everyone uses parachute (water proof) tents nowadays... just gotta make sure you tell the decoraters about it.

btw halls would be much cheaper than tents-arrangement in a ground..they will charge separately for the generators and the A/C units !

she has 50-70 people.... Saphire or Qasrenoor do not give there halls for less than 150-200 people and they are not cheap.... they will charge around 550/person + decor (around 25000). So better do it privately in a tent.

there are quite a few party/wedding halls where u can have smaller gatherings...
it all depends on ur budget....

having an outdoor function in july ....well the weather is terrible during that time...its too hot...

some people have been telling me about tents with "chillers"

how good (or effective) are these?

are these chillers good enough for you to survive lahore's heat?

i was thinking of defense club (since our house is near there) but what do u mean there is a risk due to noise? obviously for a mehndi, there is some shor sharaba. do they want you to do a mehndi with no music?

if i want to get tents and caterers, can someone please guide me regarding how to do this.... i need all the help i can get since i am running a solo show.

defence club.. u have no issue for shor sharaba ... but if you do it in a plot/Jasmin Garden in defence than there is an issue... Defence clud is a good option.

and yah … I’ll be having my wedding in Defence Club :slight_smile: … but i cant find any place for mehendi… defence has a rule of no loud music if you do it in a plot… you can sing and play music but no loud music system n stuff. So im not willing to take the risk… people do use loud music , DJ n stuff but u know the people n rules in DHA.. never know:smack:

Well I have made some confirmations.... u can have your mehendi in a plot in defence .. not any big issue

the only way to access my rooftop is with a ladder, and i highly doubt my nano would want to try that :p:halo:
