I had a full check up about 1.5 years ago, because 2 of my cousins have been diagnosed with PCOS, and I had some symptoms. The doctor could not give me a definite answer, even after blood work and ultrasounds. She said the ultra sounds showed some follicles on my ovaries, but because it was early in my cycle, those could just be the eggs developing. Also from my blood work, I dont have high levels of testosterone (it was not over the normal level), but it was in the high range of the normal level. I had more blood work done about 5 months ago, and I had the same results. I dont have insulin resistence.

The symptoms that I do have that made me think that I may have PCOS are:

irregular periods (when I wasnt on birth control, I would get my period anywhere from 32-40 days - no set time each month)
facial/body hair
carrying excess weight in my stomach

So based on these symptoms, I thought I may have it. My husband is a doctor and always tells me I dont have it, and its all in my head. I have started moderate exercise now, because he says that is the only “cure” for PCOS, so hopefully that will help IF I do have it.
