what are some unique ways of giving mehndi and shaadi invites?? besides the regular card like we had some people just give mehndi cones with the card some give them as favors? what are some other ideas??

well we had a family friend who got married (boy side) they sent a kurta
shirt(s) ( depends on how many boys were in the family ) with every mehndi card so every boy would
wear it on mehndi day

how about sending little batwas with 6 churiyan or 2 kara's, and those temporary mehendi tattoos, and maybe some misri or something?
i know those batwas can be made for really cheap in pakistan, and chooriyan are inexpensive as well.

but really those things are favors to be given at the mehendi - the invitations should be nice enough to stand on their own and create some excitement for the event.

ok I just figured it out a batwa is the satchel filled with mixed nuts and stuff but aren't those more for nikah atmosphere?

i always though picture invites we re a good idea like some pics of u n ur soon to be hubby are cute in the invite...hey pictures speak a thousand words, right?

yeah the pics are a cute idea but in my family that probably wouldn't be acceptable we had someone send out birthday cards with the babys pic on it and everybody who received the card was like the baby's going to get nazar they shouldn't have put the pic on it.

how abt giving nicely wrapped small choc boxes with ur invitation card on top or maybe mithai

I know someone who got flat magnets and the stickers printed out at home…and printed pictures on it of hte couple and dates of wedding. They sent it out as a save the date. Label Templates | Templates for labels, cards and more - Avery | Avery

if you have access to kinkos it’s fairly quick/easy and cheap

its a little fabric pouch with a drawstring top.

someone i know got these cute little silver containers from the dollar store and put laddoo's in them. they gave one to each household when they hand-delivered the invites.

remember if the invites are going in the mail, adding anything will increase weight and therefore, postage, so consider that too.

i think you can use them for whatever you want... and after all, isn't a wedding invitation an invitation to the marriage/celebration?

Print the invite onto plastic cones n fill them with mehndi..

there all really good ideas but i think i may just with the invite for the girls close friends n family send churiya wiv them i think thats nice and dnt have to spend that much u kno

i and my sister are planning to make the mehndi cards with jamawar of different color :) for some close friends..... handmade customised cards :)
