they probably just got the material and had the kaam wala's make it. you could send the pic off to any family you have in pakistani and have them replicate it for you.

Somegroovychick ive shown the pic to a friend whos a designer in pakistan and she said she can try to make it but it wont be exactly the same suit as the pic isnt that clear
so im thinking do i really want to spend money to have a suit that looks similiar but not quite the exact suit :( I think it would help if there were more pics of the outfit

So alter the design,

^ good luck then! i dont think there are any more pics of these girls and their outfits and who knows, maybe up close and in detail the kaam isn't all that so your friend might be able to do better. ask for dabka in dull gold and silver with lots of little silver nalki's, sequins, small diamantes, metallic thread, etc.
i saw someone wearing THE most gorgeous suit - it was a very muted green and her kaam was as i've described and it was just breathtaking. the kameez and shalwar were plain silk wtih the kaam on them on the gala (similar to above) and corners of the shirt, and the dupatta was the same green silk chiffon with a gold stamped pattern (a lot like the dupatta's above actually). just stunning!

Don't you want something diferent?
I'm sure if you showed your tailor the pic and colour schemes, then combined you could design the actual embroidery, wouldn't be the same, but wouldn't be a disaster either.

Groovychick thank u i know guess il never be able to have that suit made! it sucks! :-( im speaking to a designer at the moment i will tell her about the embroidery u just mentioned.. I dont have a clue about material or material as ive not got any outfit made jsut pop into a shop and buy material or off the rail ready made.. never paid attention to the kaam.. I dnt suppose u have a possible picture of maybe a similiar suit like the one u mentioned so I can have a look.

aliyahali I dont live in pakistan but i know of a few people who design clothes so im hoping they can make the outfit for me but unfortunatly for me an exact copy cannot be made..

tell her to use good quality silk and good quality chiffon for the dupatta otherwise doing such gorgeous embroidery on cheap fabric will be a waste of money.

Somegroovychick ok the material used in the outfit is silk and chiffon for the duppatta am I right? I told her what u mentioned to me about the kaam and she said yes that seems like it was used on the dresses! Inshallah it will turn out ok ive still not said yes lol im hoping for more pics but i doubt that will happen lol

yup, it was pure silk for the shalwar and kameez, and soft chiffon, with a gold stamped pattern for the dupatta.
the shirt material for the girls in the picture looks like jamavar with a very spaced out pattern on it, or it could be a self-printed silk too.
That material is called "chunri"
