guy, thats all karachi is! you can go to any designer, outside of the big names or any tailor/kaam wala, and get a copy made.

thats really nice i was thinking to get a a similar color combination made
not for my mehndi though, i am already married.
I dont know what kind of fabric i should use i want a raw silk green dress and the color that is used for the dupatta as churidar.....should i go for raw silk which might be a bit too tick or georgette or brocade with small motivs??

I didnt know first as i am from quetta and not karachi i saw last summer that gulf market was completely burnt into ashes?
Where else do ladies go for kaam in karachi beside now that gulf doesnt excist or has it been rebuilt?

I know bargellos and hinab make copies...and some kaam wala's have designes i have seen pictures of on the internet but i didnt know they make everything ka copy...i didnt see that when i went to karachi. You know the real karma and Hsy stuff people would love to get made for cheaper prices.
There is gul plaza, Rabi center, Kehkashan (opposite laner per he) and a lot more places which actually have same kaam as Gulf and charge half of that in gulf...but we stick to gulf because its close to where we live.
There are also some ghar mein kaam karnay wali's who take a lot of time but do beautiful work.
and i guess it was Uzma plaza or is it called continental plaza which got burnt, gulf was safe and sound when i went there in summer.

in a city of 14/15 million ppl, there are more places to get work done other then gulf :)
A LOT OF DARZI's will copy any design for you... an example being KDA markey or Papoosh! you go into these shops that specialise in karhai work... some of them even have magazines with designer wear and you can pick and choose... and they will make a replica the best they can... i havn't as yet done this myself, but if I ever do, I'll let you know...

KDA market is very close to Gulshan Chowangi…
and Papoosh… well i’m not sure as to exactly what area it is but I guess it may be considered in the North Nazimabad area (near Abbasi Shahid hospital I think )… its not far from NADRA office (where ppl get their ID cards made)
man i sound like such a paindo giving directions based on “sites”, but other option do i have

hmmm... as far as i remember; gulshan-e-johor is close to karachi uni right? if so, then KDA market would be very close to the place you lived :)

i got mine from maria b, 18,000 rupees. its hard to find a decent mehndi suits these days, maria b was the cheapest i saw that i liked. hajra hyat had some amazing ones but were 40,000 rupees! OMG

Don't u give-away u're mayun/mehndi dress..? I suggest you design u're own..chose colors and fabric..like jamawar, organza for the duppata and get gems or kundan-work..or even mirrors or gota =)
