Do brides-to-be wear makeup on their mayun/mehndi? I recently came across the terms mayun makeup and mehndi makeup! I thought they go sans makeup for the mayun/mehndi!

i did! :)
i think it depends from family to family... i felt like we were spending too much money on the mehendi for me to go dressed simply in a jora with a bare face. plus i was wearing a gharara... i think the formality of the dress alone calls for proper makeup.
plus, i wanted nice pictures!
for the mayyoun, i did my own.
i'm seeing more and more girls dress up for the mehendi, probably because the mehendi's are getting more and more elaborate too. but the mayyoun still seems to be a more intimate, usually at home affair, which doesn't require makeup.

Some do, depending on the occasion....
mayyoun i did a little bit of makeup, since it wasnt just a mayyoun but a party/bridal shower combined...
mehndi, i did my own makeup as well, what i'd normally do for school or something.. If the outfit is heavy or somewhat fancy, it calls for a little bt of makeup...simpler it is, lss makeup.

She has natural makeup - and white makeup artists are best with natural makeup i guess. I am better then the brown makeup artists you know, i went to this party where girls claimed they had makeup done from professionals while all of them looked like baboons.

^lol. sometimes desi girls cake their faces with tooo much makeup, especially foundation thats way lighter than their real skin...looks bad

Girls please remember that its the makeup lady's work and they don't always do wat you want them to.

^ Not always, there are some people who do their own makeup and still look like pancakes and its not a mistake always some of them actually think it makes them look fair. One can always tell the person that they dont like the makeup , my aunt did and made her do the whole makeup again..even though it was shaheen or nabeela (don't remember) who did her makeup.

think that white foundation era is gone....today everyone uses glowing invisible foundation..even brides.....god knows whts gng on in pak right now....

Many people don't know how to properly apply foundation and that is why make up looks as if you can peel it off from the face. Also people don't use the right color of foundation, they normally test the foundation on hand and there is always some difference in the complexion of hands and face.

no the white foundation era has not gne , sum relative n her daughters , oh god it is as if they apply atta to their face .. they r nt gori bt have a nice color . bt they apply so so so much white powder on dt i can see the difference btween neck and arms esp in movie and pictures..
